You know something,we might not be experts on footy(we are Palace fans afterall!) but there's a lot of us with fookin' great music tastes! Also, I've realised you just cannot get a definitive "Top Ten". Ollie's Dad,Ash.

To be fair barbs, with your location given as teenage wasteland, it is easy to be tricked into thinking otherwise.

Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link]

Yes I get it... Who's Next is my top album, see list. I noticed the 'Shed 7 Maroon 5' gag as well

What if you had to pick just 1?

Mine would be Hunky Dory

If I had to pick just one Nick then it would have to be Hatful of Hollow - The Smiths. The album that changed my life.
I remember this coming out in about 1984 or so and it staying on my Amstrad turntable the whole summer. Bearing in mind the mid-eighties were full of Simon Le Bons etc swanning around on yachts with super models and sun tans, being a spotting 15 year old from a council flat who couldn’t pull a bird for love nor money I didn’t really get music until this album came out and I heard Morrissey’s lyrics. It was as if he had written the album just for me. Guess what makes something great though is that it still has the same effect on me 25 years later (although my kids and Mrs all kick up an almighty stink whenever I try to play it in the car).

Pretty much sums it up for me too. Morrissey certainly struck a chord. Ironically, liking the smiths helped me get 2 or 3 chicks back then.

A shame mozza turned out to be such a wassock.
