Jesus the right wing bang on and on about disgusting. Sure, cuts to the NHS and mental health treatment, they say nothing, but you spray one memorial and they wet their knickers.

Yeah its wrong, someone deserves to be charged with criminal damage, but jesus, you're worse than the lefties protesting against the Tories winning the rigged vote system rather than anyone else (in all likelihood they'd have been protesting a labour victory as well).

The Tories have pledged £8 billion a year extra spend on the NHS for the next five years - what did Labour pledge?

All the Socialist Worker placard waving nutters do is shout 'out, out, out' and 'when do we want it - now!' Most of them do not have clue about what they are 'protesting' about. As I have said before, very similar to the trouble makers among Millwall supporters.

Is Jesus right wing by the way?

After all the cuts last time in, their spending more on the NHS? Seems a bit schizophrenic.

Jesus? Probably dead at best.

It is indeed and always has been. Let us not forget that for all of the bluster about how Labour 'ruined the economy', the Tories had in fact planned to further deregulate the banks at the time and had pledged to match Labour spending:

So perhaps people should remind us of how the situation would've been one bit different under the Tories?

I will ask again seeing as no one took up the nettle from the left (what a shock) how come there was a distinct lack of riots when Labour came into power ?

We'd still have our Gold reserves at a record high price for starters!

We wouldn't have had swathes of pen pushers in local government and hospitals performing needless jobs costing the tax payers a small fortune in pay and benefits.

We wouldn't be saddled with debt from the building of new schools and hospitals that weren't budget controlled and costs spiralled out of control.

We wouldn't have had the Quangos that Labour set up wasting public money.

I knew that would come up and of course you're not wrong, even though it's on a very different scale comparatively - gold reserves cost us a few billion, the banking crisis cost the nation trillions. The basic facts are the same, the country would've been firmly up s*** creek whoever was in power at the time.

Probably because it was a landslide election - There was a widespread jubilation, and the Conservatives took one hell of a beating.

Also, these weren't riots. A few hundred people protesting and a few scuffles aren't a riot.

These anarchists are planning a summer of protests which of course will result in wanton violence.Lets hope the Police act very firmly against these hoodlums.

The same reason -- as someone on here (npn?) pointed out - that BBC Question Time crowds always seem left-wing.

They're not, it's just left wing people are more likely to shout and heckle and applaud and cheer. Because they are morons. Whereas right-wing people are more likely to raise an eyebrow or just think it to themselves. Because they are clever and civilised.

The same with protests. The likes of Nick Spart-Gusset think raising the barricades is the response to everything. Because they are dinosaurs who pretend to themselves they're doing it "for the people" when really they're only - like anyone else - protecting their pockets. Like when doctors and teachers only go on strike when it's their pensions which are under threat. They talk a good talk about cuts, but they don't really care until it hits them in the pocket.

Right-wing people don't moan loudly or go on demos. They just quietly move their investments offshore or into tax-avoidance schemes.

I don't think we'd have been in as much trouble with a Tory chancellor. Labour chancellors run fast and loose with our money and don't worry about the consequences... under Balls' stewardship the deficit would not have reduced at all this last 5 years.
The voters gave a massive thumbs down to Labour's plans on the economy that's why they lost.
