Anti-austerity - my ass. These May Day riots go back for years now (before the recession was a twinkle in a banker’s eye). They are a part of the Police's annual calendar. To even refer to them as demonstrators is a joke, they are not demonstrating about anything. It’s the same as the London riots, those guys weren’t demonstrating, they were looting. If you looked at the average profile of the people involved, none of them would be particularly feeling the pinch about anything, most are young middle class pricks whose mum and dad live down the road in a 5 bed house. I honestly think we are far, far too lenient on these people. I think the bloke who decimated the women war memorial should be arrested and then handed over to a bunch of Paras for the evening to extract their revenge. They would think twice then. We are far too week in this country, the police are more concerned about 'demonstrators' rights to demonstrate than public violation. String the b******s up by the balls I say. Sometimes demonstrations are valid, other times not. We have to be careful in how we deem they should be policed though, because if one thing so we can be sure of it's that the same level of enforcement will be used for both kinds.

Obviously not the exact same people, but the same sort of idiots with no real agenda who get involved. We know the London riots didn't just involve black youths and rapidly lost all connection to the Duggan shooting. The posh girl from Orpington springs to mind and of course the tuition fee protesters who'd just get a few grand less of their wealthy parents' money for drink and drugs.

The dead giveaway is the kids daubed in anarchy symbols.
