In bred or not if I was in Charles position I'd have went to shake his hand, then given him two fingers and butted the lying pr1ck. hateful human being I don't think that about anyone else on this planet, but this guy is a pure terrorist who decided to hang up his semtex, becuase the British Forces where close to bringing the f***inglot of em down, so he decides to come to the negotiating table, and that f***in idiot Major let him. Dunno about all of that, even from the late 60s Adams was pushing towards a political settlement, and was leading a faction within the Provisional IRA that didn't think the British could be defeated militarily. I don't like the guy, probably not as much as you hate him, but the reality was that without his rise to power within the Provos. The bloke is a c**t, but he's ultimately disarmed the Provisional IRA, got them to stand down and delivered on their end of the peace process. Even if the Forces had brought them down, the set up of the Provisionals was such that eventually new generations would have emerged and new troubles flared up. We can't even prevent the offshoots really. Not long term. Doesn't sit easy with me, either though. But Adams was a necessary evil for bringing the Provisional IRA to the table and securing a lasting peace, and ultimately changing NI.

Gerry Adams is only doing this for the Irish 2016 election, he has to prove to the Irish public that he can be statesman like. how can you be 'Statesman like' when you have ordered the killing other human beings ? Reagan, thatcher, vlad putin, churchill, Blair , Obama, Stalin, Hitler, Franco, ..........Miliband was lucky he got off with only a few points on his driving licence

Whilst researching why the IRA targeted him I found out nothing really but did find these titbits; Mountbatten's nickname via his naval colleagues was And his brother: Blimey, the stuff he was supposed to have got up to would make Caligula blush. 'Anyone for an all in the family bestiality party, what?' Lastly, the Battenburgs ( his real family name - changed cos it sounded too German) genes were so fvcked up due to inbreeding that Charles was picked to be the one to harness a new, clean bloodline.
