Isn't Watfords whole recent success due to Italians? Well the owners are Italians and Watford have employed a number of players from one of their sister clubs Udinese but not all of these players are actually Italian.And a number of their players have come from one of their other clubs, Granada who are a spanish outfit.On the subject of players, none of their three top scorers last season Deeney, Ighalo and Vydra are Italian. Their recent managers Zola and Sannino are of course Italian but they went up with Jokanovic.
Forgot about Vydra. Was hot property the season we beat them in the playoff final wasn't he. Believe that Watford are trying to loan him again from Udinese in a 2 year deal.

Admittedly the amount of success stories seem to have dried up in recent years and this article seems to think it's more the changing style of English clubs not suiting their game rather than a culture thing. Ravanelli is remembered for one game, and was far from a great success, the only real success that you've named was Zola, the rest were just good players but did not really set the Premier on alight, like some of the South Americans, or Spanish, French, and Portuguese, have done.

Ravanelli scored over 30 goals in all competitions , that is a success, he was one of the big stars that season!!

If you're basing it on talent then using Zola, one of the greatest players in Premier League history, seems an unfairly high standard. Of all the regions you mentioned I'd only really regard Henry, Ronaldo and possibly Aguero/Suarez above him. Portugal seems a particularly unusual example with far more failures than success stories.
