Spuds are looking to offload him. In my eyes he is just as competent as Cabaye and unlikely to break our wage structure. We would be missing a trick by not going for him. Plus he is two years younger.

Started off as a striker but was converted into a central midfielder by Martin Jol at Fulham.

I think that Jol said a few years back that Dembele was probably the best player on the ball he had ever seen !
Think Tottenham paid £15 Mill for him when Villas-Boas was the manager.

Thinks he is a lot better than he is and apparently, the way they motivate him at Spurs is by telling him he will be the next one to move to Real Madrid.

Not going to fit in to what we are about if that is true, despite being a great talent.
