Move it to another country.

Being awarded a sporting event is not an opportunity to act like international dicks, about a domestic issue.

There can't be that much crime in Holland if they have the time and resources to prepare all of that.

I love the tour Stu, but only yesterday the French fcuked us all off with their shenanigans at Calais.

They can hardly moan about the Dutch having a grievance about pay and wanting to disrupt a major event.

I hate strike action anywhere, but the French are the worst at this method of trying to get what they want, so on this occasion I will say serve them right.

Maybe... just maybe... they might appreciate how the rest of us suffer when they do this?

Somehow I doubt it though.

French port workers, who I'm not defending as they're beyond a joke, but even in France the police don't go on strike.

Take it away from them and let the Dutch police strike all they want. As I said it's a domestic issue so them wanting to broadcast their gripe all over Europe, as they've stated their goal is, should simply be removed from them.

100+ druggies on bikes is surely an invitation for the police to get involved. The Tour used to be my favourite sporting event before it became an extended testing branch of the pharmaceutical industry.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

No... but they don't do their job during strikes as we saw at Calais most recently... Lorry drivers had to run the gauntlet on the approach to the port and got no protection from the French police.

I have no sympathy for anyone that strikes as a method of resolving pay complaints, but on this occasion I also have no sympathy for Le Tour because of the French attitude.

Le tour has no power over French port workers, air traffic controllers, train drivers etc.

They will simply see it as justification for what chaos they already cause.
