I'll be a bit upset if personal terms have been agreed and we can agree a price with Swansea... ...not because I don't want Williams, but Reliable Larry correctly announce Bamford as being our next signing and that we'd get McCarthy by the end of the week. But he said Ashley WIlliams was nothing but his agent trying to get Williams a better deal. Although Meat Loaf would say "2 out of 3 aint bad"...I'm personally torn (if this is true).

SP didnt play down talk of Williams, he was happy to say we would not be signing Austin but refused to make any comment on Williams. Read into that what you may. I can't see Swansea wanting to sell but if the player decides he wants a new challenge the player eventually leaves no matter what the club want. Edited by BelfastEagle (22 Jul 2015 7.14am)

Part exchange is more likely here. Maybe there is already a conversation going on. SP has very high regard for the Swansea chairman and would certainly not want to cause any ripples. Possible exchanges Johnny Williams and/or Joe Ledley ?

Agreed it might be a swap deal if this one goes through. Swansea have been a bit toothless in midfield (apart from the bald Charlton loony) so I wonder whether we're considering swapping skippers?

Something along these lines is entirely plausible. Imagine how you would react if you were a Swansea fan if your captain leaves. They need something very positive in return to counter the negative feeling. And Palace have to throw in something serious to tempt Swansea.
