Any song requests need to be notified to block B so the drummer can get the right drum beat going.

And if (and only if) the HF approve your song, you can sing it, as long as they start it.

Remember, don't start until they say. Got it ?

I do like the theme of 80's singles that nearly scan give or take a syllable or two

to The lion sleeps tonight

Yohan Cabaye Yohan Cabaye Yohan Cabaye Yohan Cabaye Yohan Cabaye Yohan Cabaye Yohan Cabaye Yohan Cabaye

In south London, yes in south London, Cabaye will score tonight
In south London, yes in south London, Cabaye will score tonight
Ah hoooooooooooooooo ah wee ooooo wee Johan Cabaye
Ah hoooooooooooooooo ah wee ooooo wee Johan Cabaye

I feel sorry for the OP now. The HF are far more likely to take this one up without feeling silly. Still, we probably have another 48 hours of boredom while we find out whether he signs for us or not so we can all submit more fantastic ideas.

How about this Soft Cell classic?

Take your hands off Dann hey
He still belongs to us you see,
And take a look at Austin, Charlie Austin
He'd do ok here, if you're asking me
Say hello Cabaye,
Say hello and score Cabaye,

With Bill Wyman being a Palace fan surely there a Rolling Stones riff we can use?

Supporting Crystal Palace since 19.45 on 29th August 1972 (approximately)!

I can't get no
Transfer action

(that's not a gripe, was just thinking on my feet)

I think this is worth introducing for this line alone. Your talent is impressive.

When two teams go to war, you'll shoot wide and Cabaye will score (go to war, go to war)

Thanks mate. I don't think there is enough conjecture in football chants these days.

Also, based on your responses I've come to realise that the entire 80s pop scene was just geared up for Cabaye puns.

Out on the wild, windy Sel
Hurst Park the pitch is green
You have a right foot like a café sausage
A bit tough and greasy
Now you've left PSG
When we needed you
To strengthen
Our midfield
And protect the back four oooooo (needs work)

We know your no Ambrose
But we'll give you a try you never know
Maybe you can score a goal
set one up
or snap the shins of their star man

Yipee, it's Cabaye
He's an Eagle now
He's betterer than what we had before
Nice one
Yipee, it's Cabaye
He's an Eagle now
He's betterer than what we had before

Although genius, I may have to sit and learn this. Don't want to be caught out on the terraces not knowing all the words!

To the tune of Boys Don't Cry by the Cure maybe?

I would say North London
If I thought that it would change your mind
But I know that Croydon
Is a sh*t hole
And a dirty dive

I say I come from Surrey
Cover it all up with lies
I never say I'm Palace
But I would if you said you'd signed
'cause Yohan Cabaye
Yo-han Cabaye

(Apologies folks from Croydon. I don't really mean it, it just sort of worked).

I have a feeling PTJ that's it's only you, me and the OP that are taking this seriously. so apologies if my standards are slipping.

(come on Eileen)

Yohan Cabaye
If you score one for me
You will make
Me ha a py
You in that dress
oh my thoughts, I confess
are why are you wearing a dress?
Yohan Cabaye

Given the amazing quality of our output such as "Why are you wearing a dress?" I'm not sure we need to enlist anyone else in this!
