Hope McCarthy isn't one of them. Can't see him as any improvement on what we have.

Bamford would be a very good loan move if true but a bit of a punt if permanent. Mccarthy as others say adds little to what we already have so not so sure myself.

Bamford is a bloody good player. Can move, is quick like Gayle.

Lets just hope he can hold the ball up better than Gayle.

Mind you, saying all this, i still think we'll be after another striker aswell as Bamford.

Oh he is. Definitely.

He's a cracking keeper.

What I simply don't understand is why we don't rate Hennessey? Unless Pulis is prepared to pay far more for Hennessey than we'll pay for McCarthy and we think the two are either equal in talent or McCarthy is better (in which case we make money on the deals for no loss in ability) it simply makes no sense. And I've seen nothing to suggest to me that McCarthy would be a major upgrade on Hennessey (although to be fair I haven't seen a lot of either player.) The other thing is that if we do bring in a keeper, remember that we are signing Jules' replacement so he needs to be serious quality. Not saying Jules won't start this season but he is getting towards the end of the road so we do need to sign more than a "back up."

Happy with McCarthy and totally not bothered about Bamford. I just hope he's not our main striker signing.

[Link] In fairness, he was very impressive when he was Reading's Keeper in the PL. More so than Hennessey was at Wolves and a lot of people use that to judge Hennessey by
