I agree that one more - central defender likeliest - is all we need now.
Not too much tinkering, marginal players leaving whilst strengthening the squad in the right way which will keep the Palace spirit and ethos.
I remember a post where Mark Bright had said we were after 4 players - we have 3 so one to go!

I don't see us going for another striker. As long as Gayle and Murray stay we don't need one unless Bamford isn't up to it. It wasn't the goal scoring that was the problem last season it was the inability to keep a clean sheet so I am hoping we will spend big on a central defender.

Spoke to Alan Pardew at the FA Cup anniversary dinner and he said a striker was his priority this window. I don't think he meant Bamford. He meant a big name permanent signing.

he's said similar publicly but the issue is, outside of barcelona, that's pretty much everyone's priority.

If we were bringing in a big name striker and playing only one up front Bamford would be sitting on the bench every week and I don't think he would have come to us if that was the case.

A thought.
A good Chelsea friend tells me Bamford is really a Winger.
Bolasie leaves, Bamford on the wing and a new big name striker comes in!
I also love a conspiracy theory.

Looks to me as if Kaikai is being lined up as a first team squad player who could replace Bolasie if (and I really hope he doesn't) goes. AP has said Gayle won't be sold and I truly hope Muzza isn't either.
We are well stocked with wingers and if no one else came in I think Muzza is still a good front man.
We do need strengthening in central defence and a new CB would be my priority with Williams preferred, but obviously Swansea wouldn't want to loose him.
It will be interesting to see the team for Sunday.

He is essentially a striker but can indeed play out wide.He has played a lone striker role - can hold the ball up and show willingness to get in behind. He is very well balanced and can go past players with ease hence his ability on the flanks.
