Every single gun in the US should be removed from private hands by the state authorities and replaced with a 1776 ball, powder and plug pistol for all people of voting age to defend themselves, as per the constitution.

In this way the right of defense will be maintained, as per Constitution, and liquor store hold-ups give the advantage to the baseball bat

Drive by Shootings would have to be renamed Lay By Shootings.

Christ, not booing Santa! In Croydon people burnt down a family-run Furniture store when they were pissed off.

The Eagles were having a nightmare season that year, imagine Santa going round Selhurst after a sh*t season...

It's fine, it got better for the Eagles. They later drafted OJ Simpson...

you're all mixed up. buffalo drafted OJ. philly's eagles much like CP's, haven't won sh!t in a long long time. and the fans were just voted the worst in the NFL.

I'm sure many people think Brighton is a nice place to go out during the day/at night but their fans are bunch of w*nkers. Your point being?

I live in 30 miles outside of Detroit ( 30 miles is not that far over here but would almost seem up north to most Palace fans in the UK).

Its safe right in the centre of Detroit and that area is no bigger than the center of Croydon but its not smart to drunkenly annoy people cuz people do pack here. Saying that I have never seen a gun on the street...anywhere in Detroit or the burbs in over 13yrs. Perhaps I am lucky or just not dumb enough to go to the places where trouble is more likely.

I believe Brits would be just as bad as the Americans if guns were freely accessible. I have a Glock 45 and I would be a liar if I denied the thrill it gives me to fire it at the range.I can walk around like a cowboy if I was ever to be that stupid and make people around me nervous and I can legally go concealed which I don`t. The Texans are the real Cnuts......just watch You Tube and they are usually white but Michigan has a huge gun following as well.

My handgun is carefully hidden away and the cartridges are on the other side of the house. I am trained and take it very seriously....its an expensive hobby so I go every 3 months........my life and bills get paid for first.

I hear the bulls*** talk ....but even if you can prove you were attacked and had to defend yourself.....you can get away from doing time but it will cost you hundreds of thousands to defend yourself in court and then a civil suit follows and it starts again......That Pri-k Zimmerman has destroyed his life and is in debt......but he deserves it and in my opinion he should be in jail.

Two or three years ago I believe 800 people were shot in Detroit and there is only 800,000 inside the city limits. The city limit is 8 mile ( its just a road)

Back home if I deserved it I might get a smack.....but here you don`t risk confrontations with strangers....that is not saying there are no punch ups but many believe they have a right to use their guns instead.

I am 55 so call me what you like if I sense trouble I get my wife and myself out of there......like any sensible person should.

If the UK had the same gun laws as the US, the first Friday night weekend would be a blood bath, of young stupid drunk men ending up shooting one another. Instead the UK requires that access to firearms is specifically controlled by necessity of the tool and permission (typically pest control) and specific locations (private property, shooting sites and land on which the individual has been given permission to control vermin).

Just a little information about investment in the gun manufacturing industry.
In the immediate aftermath of the Sandy Hook Massacre in December 2012 the stocks of gun producers fell back due to widespread criticism of gun law and misuse and the shock of the tragedy. Many investors felt it was the time to review their portfolios and get out of companies like Smith & wesson or Sturm Ruger & Co.
But some saw an opportunity and as shares plummeted as the tragedy sank in, two hedge funds in particular took the long bet on paranoia and fear by buying shares. Owl Creek Asset Management bought gun stocks valued at $13.6 million and Impala Asset Management stocks valued at almost$28million.
The companies they invested in made Brievik's Mini-14 semi automatic and the Sandy Hook killer's Bushmaster lookalike, the S&W AR-15.

No doubt these fund managers were thinking of their investors

We could start by enforcing the rules we have on the books. The Charleston shooter should not have been able to purchase a gun, and the recent Louisiana movie theater shooter had a history of mental problems. The background-checking apparatus has been ensured by the gun lobby to be purposely byzantine among thousands of agencies so as to be ineffective.

We know the government is capable of licensing and registering materiel. New York State sends me a bill and a new auto registration every two years. If I let it lapse, do not remained licensed, do not maintain my correct address, etc, I can be fined or lose the use of the car. But the 2nd Amendment guarantees protects the right to form a "well-regulated militia" and here we are.
