Corbyn must win and will win the new leadership election. Why? Because there is a mood within the country and in this case within labour supporters to give politicians a bloody nose. Significantly, Corbyn is also just about the only voice that is putting forward any arguments promoting a fairer society and a left wing agenda. The overwhelming majority of labour and old lib dem voters for that matter reject austerity and dint wish to see Labour return to a Blairite Tory light agenda. The fact of this situation is we have a bulk of Labout MPs either completely divorced from the true left wing ideals of your average Joe, or so swollowed up by the Westminster machine that they are motivated by solely by career and the chance to move up the ministerial greasy pole. When all is said and done a significant percentage of the country demands an end to the Thatcherite policies of the last 37 years and Labour sympathisers will be more than happy to pay £3 to re-elect Corbyn. It will also be true that the current FPTP voting system is now incapable of refelcting the current splinters in society and has to be reformed. Yep. I've had a change of heart from my position that his position was untenable this morning and just rejoined the Labour Party after a long haitus. Edited by nickgusset (29 Jun 2016 10.35pm)

Corbyn idea of a fairer society. Agree with me or there'll be repercussions. Physical violence etc. And people have the gall to criticise Thatcher and still blame her for this country's ills

Interesting research I saw yesterday said fewer than 1 in 6 corbyn supporters were working class, so his main support comes from so called well off "clicktivists" Only 1 quarter of the 200,000 who signed up since last year to support him belong to a union However around 2/3 of them post socialist rants on social media while only 15% do anything useful like canvassing Edited by Pussay Patrol (30 Jun 2016 8.39am)

Working class in a post-Industrial society is an outdated concept given the impact on labour based jobs and 15% canvassing is pretty high for any party. Also, arguably social media is an exceptional way to communicate with people, compared to banging on their door when they're having their dinner, or out.

Some of course will be opportunistic but his supporters, either with or without his consent are at best treading a very thin line

There is plenty of evidence that even if Corbyn himself doesn't support it, violence and intimidation are indeed a tool being used openly by his supporters. He may preach a new form of kinder politics but those around him certainly aren't practising.

Yes you are, you are fully aware of his modus operendi and that has not stopped you from signing back up to the Labour Party to support him. If you were against it then surely you wouldn't have done that after not being a member for years? At the very least you are condoning the behaviour.
