Well it's good that Matthew is ignoring me...

Great piece from Tory Peter Oborne.

By all means you can back your own viewpoint to the hilt, but going "lalalala I can't hear you and anyway it must be crap so I won't bother even reading it" when presented with reasoned counter argumements devalues anything you then go on to say in defence of your views.

Look at my response to Mapletree regarding Corbyn's position on re-opening south wales coalfields.

I will respond to any poster with sensible arguments presented in a coherent fashion.

However I refuse to respond to mass bombardment of irrelevant blog style false data perpetually presented by the HOl's very own "Lord Haw Haw".

Similarly I don't respond directly to Willo on Palace Talk for the very same reasons.... he talks garbage and it is futile engaging with him.

After all I got voted as Hol Best Poster of the Year... not Gusset.... he needs to radically reinvent himself on here to be taken seriously by other debaters.

Unless you've been 'schooled'.

As for HPOTY, ever thought it may have been a sympathy vote?

Doesn't matter how I got it (even if it was a joke by Jamie) I am currently HPOTY whether you like it or not.

As for schooling - the only one I'm interested in is the type that educates children in english language, mathematics etc.

Yes "we" have... but I'm trying to get Gusset to refrain from continually posting tedious irrelevant one sided articles by ignoring them.

Otherwise I'm open to business for everyone else except Willo/Trolley of course!

From mapletree....

The UK consumed 37.8 million tonnes of coal in 2015, including 29.3 million tonnes in power stations.
Coal imports to the UK were 25.5 million tonnes. So we produce a quarter of the coal we consume.

Seems to me there is a market, no?

As Gusset says, have a pop ad hominem at Corbyn but please don't let facts get in your way.

The "facts" are that usage of coal is on a steep decline in the UK.... particularly for generating power.

We are gradually phasing out the polluting power sources (coal production will be reduced to zero but gas and oil will be significantly reduced too) with a view to replacing them with renewable sources like wind/solar generated and to a lesser degree nuclear generated - as well as developing smarter ways to store energy particularly at times when demand on the grid is low.

It therefore makes no sense to re-open mine workings with all the cost of health and safety and draining them from decades of flooding as well retraining the workforce.

So... in this case my "ad hominem pop" at Corbyn is fully justified... just like all the others were.

It would help if you and Gusset stopped using fancy phrases and just spoke plain english like wot I do... LOL

Interesting that I never got a reply to this post?

All I try to do is give common sense replies that use simple easy to understand language and unquestionable facts yet I get castigated for criticising Gusset and others for using gobbledegook phrases like "Ad Hominen" and posting up lefty biased blogs.

I can wholeheartedly agree on the Willo paragraph :-)

Perhaps you should consider that the seriousness with which NG is taken depends on how aligned or opposed to his underpinning viewpoint the reader is, which is the actual point he made that I picked you up on.

As all the Fund Manager adverts say, "Past performance is no guarantee of future returns" ;-)
