Then you should also blame capitalism, as Marxism is a direct response to the experience of Marx and Engles of the exploitation of the working classes by industrialists (the slums, the poverty, disease and squalor that the working classes lived in, compared to the opulence of the middle and upper classes. And the exploitation of the era was rampant to the point of cruel and inhumane. I agree with you as to what motivated Marx and Engles, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. The implementation of their ideas resulted in arguably more exploitation, poverty, disease and and squalor than that suffered in Victorian Britain and other industrialised countries. Ironically though, the fear of communism and the influence of socialism massively changed the fate of those individuals in the UK. That said I've known a few people now who emigrated from ex-Soviet states, who's experience wasn't the full horror story (although they're my age - and I had a thing for eastern European girls). Most of them, their life experiences weren't quite the stereotype (although they did seem to be able to do a lot with cabbage).

I'm still secretly hoping Cooper can win (I put a tenner on her). The New Statesman reckons it's all about the 2nd preferences. So, if Kendall goes out first, her 2nd prefs will go to Cooper. That will be enough (hopefully) to see off Burnham. So Cooper goes into the final with Corbyn. And Burnham's 2nd prefs will surely be more for Cooper than Corbyn. It's in the bag! That said, I wish I'd put my tenner on Corbyn when he was 20-1! My potential financial gain aside, it'll be f*cking hilarious if Corbyn does win.

Second I have a long running good natured tit for tat with DanH, its been going on for years, before you even joined the site, he takes the piss out of me for being a big butch soldier, and I take the piss out of him for being Gay (he isn't by the way).
