What will be interesting is whether Corbyn can hold the party together. The Tories have a history of discipline whereas Labour, apart from most of the Blair years, enjoy a good civil war. He will need to compromise with those from the traditional wing of Labour if he is to have a chance for power. Doing better than expected in an election will only do him well for a limited period of time. He will also need to curb the activities of some of his more excitable supporters. A lot of their activities activity prevent people from voting for him. Now is the time when he will prove whether he is a serious contender and that entails doing more than simply 'demanding' Theresa May resigns on a weekly basis.

Absolute madness: The hubris from Team Corbyn emanating from being the beneficiaries of a protest vote against May & he collapse of the UKIP vote, will result in barking mad 'policies' such as this and will reinforce the message they are unelectionable. They have reached the ends of securing more vote through the young and in order to win the seats they need to secure a GE victory, they need to appeal to Middle England.

Whilst I generally disagree with student loans I realise that I entered into a contract in return for tuition and I have to pay it back. I did a sensible degree from a half decent university. It's helped me with my career and earning potential, and by the end of the year I should have paid it off. Corbyn needs to realize that one of the problems with the youth vote is that people don't stay young for very long. £27,000 could pay for an extra police officer, nurse, of fire fighter - which would benefit the many. Or it could give a handout to someone to study ancient dance at the university of West Bromwich. I've also noted there's lots of talk in Labour about deselect candidates who don't obay the whip. It's a bit rich given that Corbyn was the most rebellious labour voter of all time.
