If Pards is having a clear out I would get rid of Chamakh long before I got rid of Murry.

Yes mate. Me to.

And me. We now have better options to play the number 10 role and he doesn't shoot or score enough to play up front on his own. Also I would imagine he's on a decent wage and he's injury-prone.

Just goes to show some on here have no idea about football.

As it happens Chamakh until Cabaye's arrival was the most technically talented player on our books, and he is still the 2nd most technically player we have.

What I do know is that he scored f-ck all compared to Puncheon and seems to be made of glass. He is quality but there are options, hence why we haven't really missed him at all.

Chamakh has made 50 appearances in two seasons for us , he is neither injury prone or " made of glass" .

There are some proper bozos on this site. A player gets injured and out he goes. Chamakh is superb. Him+ cabaye = football heaven. The mouth waters. And there are some on here who want to discard him. Ludicrous.

When did he sign??

I am a new member syd and cucking clear off don't coment.

First time I've ever laughed out loud at a post. Absolutely hilarious; genuinely funny. Either you've got your tongue in your cheek or you really are beyond hope. It's got to be the former because the latter is simply too desperate to be true.

Cucking got demoted? s***, best I've ever managed is a yellow card two years ago for calling someone a c*** (which seemed reasonable, as they were) and try as I might, I've been unable to get another one since.

I was sitting at home bored tonight , no one bit , oh well .

You didn't seem important enough to respond to.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Yeah, it's a strange one because I'd have thought with Bannan's vision and range of passing....and Pep's 'maverick-ness'....they'd have been Pardew's sort of players. But yep, agree. They're too good to be sitting on a bench, so if I were them I'd be looking for a movie as soon as.

Personally I can't see Gayle or Murray going anywhere. We have 4 strikers plus Chamakh. Thats a healthy amount for our squad.

Can't see any of those three leaving.

Murray is our senior striker and will stay while the other younger guns battle it out.

Chamakh when fit will be in the team / squad, period he's proven he's worth it. And AP has stated he's in his plans.

15M plus comes in for Bolasie and he might move on but hopefully not.

Other than that the only players moving on will be fringe players who don't get in to the match day squad.

No problems with that.

And no problem with Bolasie moving on if the money is right.

We've spent about 20.5M this window, if we can get 3M for fringe players plus 15M for Bolasie thats really good business for the window when you look at what we now have.

Remember we still have Cabaye, Puncheon, Zaha, Chamakh, Mutch, Lee and Sako for attacking midfield players.

Syd you come across very arrogant. You think you can call someone a c*** because you think they were? Shows you are very childish.

When Gayle plays he scores.
He will probably leave, which is a real shame.
Why is he such an enigma to (four) Holloway,Pulis,Warnock,Pardew Palace managers?

It is going to burn when he scores a HATFULL of goals at his next destination.

The only thing I can think of is that he may have an attitude problem.(Clutching at straws).

Granted - the way we played/ setup under Pulis/Warnock was not suited to his natural game, but the way our game is evolving he may just fit in.

He was at his best at Peterboro linking up with the likes of Lee Tomlin (I have allways rated Tomlin since his peterboro days, would have loved to see him at palace)

Tomlin has now gone to Bournemouth, if Gayle follows suit that partnership would be reunited and could prove to be very fruitfull indeed, that would be a real choker.

Gayle is a strange one, but sometimes players just do not 'fit' at certain clubs.

Shame.

Much as I like him, 12 league goals in 48 appearances indicates not.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Once again the papers have us transferring out players by the bushel without so much as a shred of evidence except for their own (un)fertile imaginations. The Mirror has had Murray going to half the Prem and Champ while Gayle should have been a Cherry by now. Sometimes I wish those paper guys very getting some more sex because they obviously have way too much time on their hands. IMHO, Murray and Gayle go nowhere until at least January when Pardew figures out our best attacking options. I want to see the 25 man squad first before I make any guesses (that's right, they are nothing more than guesses) as to who is leaving.

Quote Cannonball at 09 Aug 2015 11.15am

I think we should hang on to Glen and I reckon Guedioura should be given a chance-I rate him.

Serious question then, who would you drop then to give him a chance? MacArthur? Puncheon? Cabaye? Play with 3 at the back? Even if you did that, you're giving a player a try, who couldn't get in our squad regularly the last two years, over Jedinak and Ledley who when available were regulars last year.

Guedioura and Bannan are passengers now unfortunately. Williams is worth holding on to should he ever regain enough fitness to be loaned out for half a season and then take it from there.

If Kelly isn't going to become our regular CB, I would imagine we'd take the first offer we got for either Kelly or Mariappa and keep the other as a spare. I'm guessing because Kelly is on the bench, he is preferred for that, back 4 in game cover.

Gayle and Campbell are only going to get on the bench should any of Bamford, Wickham or Murray get an injury (or suspension). Gayle should be loaned out down to a Championship side that might play him as a loan striker. May as well keep Campbell until we know Bamford and Wickham are up to it. Although if we were to get a decent offer then it's worth a risk, Saturday was proof we get goals from Midfield and defence.

I reckon we could do with recouping some transfer money and getting a bit of wages off our books. Who knows, administration might be just around the corner now we have some big names on our books.

Exactly can't wait to see chamakh and cabaye in the same team. It make s me wonder if people have ever actually watched palace play live or just go by stats

I don't think you'll ever see them playing in the same team mate. Unless jedinak, puncheon, MacArthur, Ledley and Mutch all die in a freak 5 man canoe accident.
