And me. We now have better options to play the number 10 role and he doesn't shoot or score enough to play up front on his own. Also I would imagine he's on a decent wage and he's injury-prone.

As it happens Chamakh until Cabaye's arrival was the most technically talented player on our books, and he is still the 2nd most technically player we have.

What I do know is that he scored f-ck all compared to Puncheon and seems to be made of glass. He is quality but there are options, hence why we haven't really missed him at all.

Chamakh has made 50 appearances in two seasons for us , he is neither injury prone or " made of glass" .

When Gayle plays he scores. He will probably leave, which is a real shame. Why is he such an enigma to (four) Holloway,Pulis,Warnock,Pardew Palace managers? It is going to burn when he scores a HATFULL of goals at his next destination. The only thing I can think of is that he may have an attitude problem.(Clutching at straws). Granted - the way we played/ setup under Pulis/Warnock was not suited to his natural game, but the way our game is evolving he may just fit in.
