Undoubtedly

If by "the state", you mean the UK, then you're wrong. We aren't "after him", we've been asked to extradite him as he's a wanted man.

If only we showed the same level of zeal in the pursuit of other allegations of sexual violence and crimes, as we have here.

We should have just let him leave the UK for Ecuador, once he was granted asylum by their embassy (which is exactly what we'd demanded if the situation was reversed).

Is waiting to arrest someone really "a level of zeal in pusuit"? No it's not. If they were storming the embassy then maybe.

No we shouldn't. We shouldn't have allowed the pasty Aussie c*** in to the UK in the first place.

I'll be honest, my hatred of Assange is at least 75% because I wasn't sure how to pronounce his name. I felt like a bit of a tosser giving it a French twang.

Ecuador, should have just put him in a diplomatic vehicle and driven him to a private flight. We'd all be 20m better off.

I'm not sure he could be refused entry to the UK at the time. Other than being a Australian, I don't think he was actually wanted for any crimes or involved in any crimes that were enforceable in the UK.

Sadly, we can't stop people at the border on the suspicion of being a c**t.

It sometimes seems that actually arresting people alleged of sexual assault is a level of zeal for the UK police.

I don't think that's suspicion. Also I think he probably would be refused on the grounds of not having the right wild life permit for his hair.

Is he banned from the UK? Or is it another one of those tireless petitions small minded internet people sign up to, mistaking personal dislike for something enforceable.

Unless he had a working visa to be in the UK, or a UK passport, he shouldn't have been allowed in as he's not a tourist.
