Every year it winds me up, when every mug under the sun wants to go down the nearest over-crowded O'Neils and drink a pint of Guinness to celebrate St Paddy's Day. If you're actually Irish, then fair play to you and you should go wild But everyone else doesn't have a clue about Ireland, have never been and most don't even understand the flag. It's one big commercial gain for Guinness who have marketed the day to become as popular and profitable as it is.

Don't follow the sheep, stay in on Wednesday night and drink Guinness all year round like me . And if you want to celebrate a patron saint's day, get smashed on April 23 - St George's Day One day, we may even get a national holiday for it like other countries!

At my local in Walworth, we always celebrated St Paddy's day. However, it was a proper Irish pub (not an Irish theme pub).

St Patrick's day only got popular when the big brewing companies realised they could make a lot of money from it.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Well as I work in Dublin and get tomorrow as a day off I have got no choice but to go out and get smashed. There is no way I can sit at home by myself with all that going on. The city will be coming to a standstill and the pubs rammed lets hope the Irish birds are out in full force.

I agree with Penge. I'm living AND WORKING in Dublin at the moment (don't come her, its a dump and nothing works), and tomorrow I'm working. To be honest I'm glad I'm working. WHy?

The whole damn country has shut down. Try doing any work or making a phone call. Nothing.

W**kers!

Oh, and to make makes worse. They've vurtually shut down the 'city' centre, so when I drove in this morning (the buses, trains and plnes are all striking, AGAIN!), a Guard stopped me and said I couldn't pass. Whilst arguing the toss with him, I got CLAMPED!!!!

C**TS!!! All of 'em!

Seriously, don't come to Dublin. Its expensive and it smells. AND the biggest news story is if one of the donkeys from Westsh*te is banging his big breasted stupid jungle winning bint.

Forget that the entire Irish Government is under inquiry because they're all corrupt!
