Always said I wanted to die in a headline, not go quietly.

My plane caught fire leaving Kuala Lumpur and I thought I was going to die. I decided I didn't want to go in that sort of headline after all.

Left in the lurch a bit now.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

I have Parkinson's disease which is slowly taking hold and affecting my mobility, balance, ability to swallow, joints are seizing up etc.

I hope something comes along to curtail my longevity as my life will eventually become a living hell.

I'm too scared for the Dignitas solution right now though.

That sounds rough Chris mate. Hard to know what to say, except all the very best to you and good luck.

Thanks Seth... and you other kind souls.

Right now my Mrs is really helpful and a rock.

She had to help me get up off the floor this morning as I stupidly stumbled trying to pick something up.

Maybe I'll consider Dignitas if Palace ever go down again!

Sorry to hear that Hoof. You sound fortunate to have someone like your wife who sounds a really caring person.

I suffer with severe depression and chronic kidney disease amongst other things and have often thought of ways of ending things under my own terms. I have a supply of Yew seeds which I keep just in case (I think it must be the Druid/Pagan in me).

Thanks Johnno, I knew you had problems but not the extent of them.... that doesn't sound good.

Yew Seeds?

Sounds like you could plant them and have your very own operation yewtree...?

The Yew tree is practically a weapon of mass destruction all on it's own.

Often work off some pretty high scaffolds at times.
40-50ft plus
Try not to think about it.
Or falling into a very large pot of emulsion.
