Thanks gents. For those who live there any suggestions where to look for a place to live? I'm single so no need to worry about decent schools etc... are mortgages difficult to come by? Friend of mine who lives there has informed me buying a builders plot and getting them to build it to your spec is better value for money and you also get a grant from the government.

Thanks for the website link to brit expats good info on there. Heat isn't an issue after spending many a year in the desert of the middle east I absolutely love it hot! As for Palace, Perth is only 7hrs in front so not to shabby.

Again for those who live out there what is a decent wage/hourly rate to live comfortably? It says Air con engineers get around the $30per hour mark.

Looking at taking a six week holiday starting January to scope the place out and meet possible employers. Then come home and hopefully get the ball rolling.

Tylerbrook, don't worry it doesn't sound harsh whatsoever I completely agree. I have no interest in bringing kids up in this country as it is going to the s***ter but thats a conversation for another thread.

Again, all help is appreciated.
