The law is an ass.

Too much emphasis on protecting people's rights rather than a framework to protect the innocent victims.

I'll bet all of them invoked their rights to non comment during their investigation.

9 months in prison is no deterrent for being a part of a £21M scam that has caused financial hardship to many people. I'll bet most of them will only serve half the term anyway.

This case needs reviewing as the Judge does appear to have been lenient - maybe because they were aged women?

These women are pure scum and 9 months is a bloody joke. The people whose lives they have ruined will feel so let down by the courts.
Whether they were stupid or not to go along with the investment is neither here or there, they were scammed by these slags who have got off pretty lightly.Just wish some of these judges lived in the real world.

21m for 9 months, if you get to keep the money - definitely worth it. Although they may well have been less 'primary' figures, I notice that two or three of them have yet to be sentenced, presumably the ring leaders.

Maybe these were people who 'didn't really profit significantly from the scam'

Or if you've already spent your portion of it.

The people who were scammed should ask for the sentences to be reviewed.

Optimistic as ever
