Quote Hoof Hearted at 26 Sep 2015 12.46pm

Let's not water down the serious nature of what happened in the hospital by deflecting attention away from it, by saying we are muslim bashing.

The article does not say that the culture in question was muslim, but I rather suspect it was muslim's feelings about servicemen that were being "spared".

It says a lot about our society that already two of you on here are more outraged that a link has been made to a Muslim rape case than the blatant disregard for the feelings of an injured serviceman that cannot even go to hospital in his uniform for fear of reprisal or abuse by secular members of our society.

It also stiffens my resolve to campaign for no more "asylum seekers/economic migrants" to be allowed to settle here as their culture does not dovetail with our own.

People can 'rather suspect' what they like and it may have been a muslim, but it could've been someone who was generally anti war, iraq war or whatever. We can all agree that it's monumentally stupid to confront someone sick in a hospital bed and to let that dictate what happened to the Sgt, but it's hardly sensible to let it influence your feelings about muslims or 'asylum seekers' based on this incident. An incident where we don't even yet know a thing about what happened previously.

You fail to see that glossing over a completely random 'muslim rapist' story, before then yourself saying that you suspect a muslim was involved and it has 'siffened your resolve' contributes to this cycle of madness. Now we have the post after yours with its 'murdering, raping, sadists' 'joke' feeding it further. Let's stop using victims of mistreatment to score points because we see here how well that works out. Sadly some of you are much too close in behaviour to the very people you appear to despise.

I congratulate you, that is the most handringing apologistic clap trap I have ever read on these boards by some margin.

An injured service man was moved in case his uniform offended those in the waiting room, Just how could a British serviceman's uniform offend you ?

Tell you something if they asked me to move, I would've said why, and if they had the balls to tell me, I would have made a point of standing and singing god save the queen at the top of my voice, and telling anyone who was "offended" that this is my country, I am part of the organisation that defends it, and if you don't like it, f*** off and get free health care from which ever s*** hole you came from ... oh wait no you can't because they don't have an NHS. fcking chancers piss off!!

I must have missed where I said it was absolutely fine to be offended by a uniform. I actually called it monumentally stupid to do so. I've apologised for no-one.

I don't think anyone on here would justify the moving of the serviceman.

He wasn't forcibly moved. He was given the option of moving. I don't think the hospital would have had any problem if he had said no.

I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.

So we trust soldiers to act in our best interests in a situation they consider dangerous but we don't trust ourselves to act in a soldier's best interests when a nurse fears danger may result from the presence of a uniform? That makes a lot of sense. Yes, there is a problem with a country where the uniform of a soldier isn't universally respected. This, however, is not an example of the problem.

How pathetic........ if anything this man should have received better treatment as a serving officer of our armed forces, not hidden away for fear of offending other "cultures".

This sort of stuff makes my blood boil.........

How dare you even say that Hoof - really you should show far more respect than that. I do believe you must be a racist for even starting a thread like this. Besides, to serve in the British armed forces means that he must have been racist too.

WTF has that got to do with a bad decision by a hospital?

Mods have a word. This is just Muslim bashing.

Is the correct answer. Apparently no one read the article or, if they did, they looked at the picture but couldn't actually read.

Is not the correct answer and I read the complete article.
it quotes:
“This employee was acting in good faith because previously, there had been an altercation between a member of the public and a different member of the armed forces in uniform.”

If that was the case previously then the notice should have been made more prominent, where I might add is in any doctors or hospital, that anyone causing a problem will be asked to leave, and this means anyone. So if some objects to a member of the armed forces being there and picks on them, then that person should be ejected and let the service man sit in peace. I am afraid this country is bending and leaning towards ANYONE but the right people IMO....it is getting bad really bad now.

That may be the case. But it's got sod all to do with a rape case!

But this thread is about a hospital hiding a sick serviceman Nick??

Read Tom the eagles post at 9.54

My posts are to do with the serviceman in hospital and NOTHING to do with any rape case Nick.

I know. But Tom the eagles was. That was my point, it's nothing to do with the hospital but he saw it as an opportunity for a bit of Muslim bashing.

I completely saw it as an opportunity for a bit of Muslim bashing. In fact, I think we as the main stream society should do a lot more Muslim bashing, I would rather that than having to hide away our serviceman and bending over backwards in case we offend someone.
Pretty much every conflict around the world is due to Muslims Nick, every other day some Muslim is had up for rape in this country, I’m just saying it how I see it.

At least you're honest then and don't feel the need to hide or obscure your views like many so credit to you for that. It doesn't make what you've said any less unfortunate though. The vast, vast majority of muslims or people of other religions or no religion aren't raping anyone and it's tragic I should need to point that out. You've become exactly what you hate in others and it's unfortunate that anyone on here would excuse anything you've said.
