One of the survivors that was shot in the back told her father that he asked the Christians to stand up, then shot them in the head.
This is about a man who hates organized religion however, not one religion against the other.

My 14 year old is very worried about college now. He just started High school this year and every time we have a mass shooting, which seems to be more frequently, he gets scared at the idea of going to college.

This is not solely about guns. I am anti gun, but i recognize that we will never be able to do away with guns here, people are just too selfish.

Its a massive problem, and is generally being ignored. It gets discussed and argued about each and every school shooting, then nothing happens.

Its the hardcore NRA nuts that cause it, most NRA members agree with some level of gun control, and even better enforcement of the control laws we already have.

Unfortunately, as often as not, the murdering b****** obtains his weapons through not legal means. The Sandy Hook devil, stole the weapons from his mother who legally owned them.

One last note. There have been two successul mass shooting at cinema's in the past few years, and a couple of failed ones.
The successful ones, both times the evil SOB came in through the rear/side door, yet cinema's are now checking bags! They say its for safety, but if they find food or drink in your bag, they will confiscate it. Before, they had no legal grounds to search your bag, now....

But why would his mother want to own such high velocity weapons and semi-automatics anyway? The mental kids of fvcked up adults have access to weapons across the country it appears looking over from this side of the pond.

I am very sorry your kid is scared of being shot at at at school, and he is not even being irrational.

Not if they keep saying there's no point trying.

Might take 10 years, might take 50 years, but if you don't try it will never happen nor even reduce them.

I agree with you, there is no need for automatic weapons in the publics hand PERIOD. But they argue each and every time, the second amendment each time, which is so vague and old its not funny.

Basically though, our children are dying and going to school scared so corporations can continue to make money.

It is not for the want of trying for 20+ years already.

I used to live in Boston, MA. I dated a woman there who was one of the countries top anti-gun activists. She had spent many years documenting and producing countrywide statistics which was near impossible as many government organizations either did not keep stats, or refused to give them up without a fight.
She was also the chair of the Harvard human rights committee(which is a big thing).
The death threats she used to get were insane, yet she carried on.
But despite her and many others continued efforts, we have no better gun control than we did 20 years ago.

Congress has to have the balls to vote for it and then do it, not listen to reasons why they shouldn't do it or just debate it ad infinitum.

But then the nutters would start shooting up everywhere in protest that they should be allowed to have guns and are responsible

Obama states this as his biggest frustration/disappointment in office. Failure to bring about meaningful gun control reforms.

But any member of congress who tries to do something, or even votes on some sort of change, is immediately targetted for removed by the NRA and other similar groups.
They then poor millions into the congressmans main opponents coffers, spread all sorts of lies about them which people seem to eat up, and then tend to lose their seat in the next election.
So now most are too fearful to even try, which is sad, as they put their useless job ahead of the well being of the young.
