I think she has a case, she did her job, which was the care and welfare of potentially injured players, and was signalled by the referee (I believe) to come on.

Moanrino then turned that into blaming them for the loss, slagging them off, and effectively making it impossible for her to do her job - which is constructive dismissal.

As for sexual discrimination, as a woman, in football, that's probably a lot easier to show a basis for, than in most areas.

So she only has sex left and frankly football clubs must look like easy targets.

The case seems to swing on whether she was called daughter of a wh*re in Portuguese. As she is presumably English and Spanish speaking I wonder how she would know the Portuguese for such language and be able to differentiate between that and what Mourinho claims he said, son of a b*tch.

I might just take a little stroll down into Croydon as this warms up, normally anyone can walk into a Tribunal.

There is a lot of crossover between Spanish and Portuguese. If she was called 'a daughter of a whore' by a senior representative of her employer. Then Chelsea have been shameful in not taking serious disciplinary action against him.

just a thought, but maybe chelski will throw jose under the bus now he is manure manager, because he has acted like a total cnut(as usual) throughout this. Also dont forget its not the first time hes gone for the medical staff. (Paramedics at Reading after petr czechs head injury). classless human being imo.

She is obviously miffed and smells the scent of a bigger payout than £1.2M from Chelski and/or Mourinho.

A money grabbing chancer v Russian Oligarch and Egotistical Tw@t.

If she wins and gets more, it won't put a dent in Abramovich's pocket.

I think Chelski might hang Mourinho out to dry now he's Manure's manager.

Not sure she will come out of this with any dignity whatever amount she is granted though.

Fair enough, that's kind of how the world works and civil court especially works. That doesn't automatically follow that she thinks she'll get the 1.2m offer (as you'd need to know the conditions on that deal - It might be 1.2m including that she pays the costs, or that certain restrictions are placed on her in terms of disclosure), or has to pay the court costs out of that sum for both parties.

She might have a book deal lined up, for example. Its common for 'decent offers' to come weighed down with conditions. Its important to remember that she may not find work in her field after taking her employer to court (tends to put off future employers) and as such 1.2m, isn't really that much considering her salary at the time.

Certainly agree she has a case for unfair and/or constructive dismissal, but the sexism thing doesn't fly because the other guy was treated exactky the same as she was

I'd imagine she / her lawyers would go down the sexism on 'hostile work environment' rather than just the incident alone. I can imagine that would be quite easy - Bit like being an relatively attractive woman in IT is a law suit waiting to happen.

Although I'm on her side as I fancy her and don't like Chelsea... Which is pretty sexist.

Fair play to her. Seems she was correct to turn down their initial offer.

One rumour is there might be texts from players to her due to be shown in court.

This whole thing does depend upon her establishing racial and/or sexual discrimination which isn't all that easy. Using these protected characteristics as the rationale for the claim is the reason the liability is uncapped. They must feel confident.

Probably the Chelsea offer (I am assuming also encompassing the Mourinho claim) is a 'Without Prejudice save as to costs' offer, aiming to avoid picking up her future litigation cost and to put pressure on her to agree without a lengthy hearing.

Well, fancy that! I wonder what she got.
