Astronomers Have Spotted An 'Alien Megastructure'

As Hawking said, theres only 2 reasons aliens would want to come here, and neither of them are good. I can think of a third, the driving force of progress, which is to see 'different naked things and get some strange'. Whilst most people probably couldn't be arsed with spending years in space travelling to enslave another world, or eat them unless absolutely necessary, the prospect of getting it on with some 'strange' would pretty much create a queue of folks at the cryopod. Science always forgets that before anything else is considered, humans generally will assess the 'new sexual experience' above anything else. Its the dark truth of human progress, but basically art and most technology have prospered in their 'darker hours' through their capacity to spice us erotically. Sure, the printing press made it possible for us to all own and not read Don Quixotie, but it was the smut that kept the business going, same with the camera and the same with the internet, projection technology, art and sculpture. If aliens come here, if they're like us, sex tourism will probably be a major factor. F-ck an alien, another one for my 'Bucket List'.

Scientists have found fossil-like hints that some kind of life existed on Earth 4.1 billion years ago — when the planet was a mere volcanic toddler. That's 300 million years earlier for life to pop up than previously thought. Not only does that change the way scientists thought Earth was like soon after it formed 4.5 billion years ago, but gives them reason to theorize that life itself is more plentiful throughout the universe because it seemed to start up so quickly.

there's a qoute out there that goes 'a dreamer stares out at the stars but an explorers searches within.' or something like that. was a reference to dmt. dmt spirit molecule full documentary is on youtube. if you are a dreamer. this is where to start looking. not through a telescope.

I don't want the MIB calling thanks. Drake's equation forgot two things 1) The likelihood of other races wanting to find us/be found 2) if an intelligent race can find another intelligent race in the universe, why would they want to speak to us? From the very little I know about space telescopes, they are likely just to be seeing a fuzzy shadow in front of a star hundreds of years ago, and if they are looking back and could see any detail they would be seeing that the industrial revolution is about to start. Plus, if the structure isn't natural it could now be millions of miles away from where we are looking at it. That means the good news is for people who don't want aliens here, like Stephen Hawkin and UKIP (This planet is full, 7bn people and no fossil fuel) is that we are hundreds and hundreds of years off making any contact with aliens.
