Manning was a superb comedian.

Brilliant.

I saw him at 'Crystals' many years ago. Bob 'The Cat' Bevan was also on the bill and Manning was praising him after the show when he was signing autographs. Bob Willis was in the audience that night.

..how many do you know that are able to professionally cock up their show then deliver the goods, it made me every single time.

Les Dawson.....
Now he was genius in so many ways but his piano playing was amazing.
I loved TC and still rate the movie he made with Milligan (The Plank) as an all-time favourite.

My list of top laughter makers -in no order whatsoever- is:
Milligan, Cooper, Sykes, Dickie Henderson, Jasper Carrott, Frankie Boyle, Mark Steele, Johnny Vegas, Bob Newheart, Charlie Drake, Rick Mayall.
Probably a good few that I should have added but .....

Sykes
