But will they all pass the Cricket test?

Yes, I am an agent of Satan but my duties are largely ceremonial

When are people going to realise immigration doesn't cause a strain on service, governmental policy does, if you starve services of funds and fail to invest in infrastructure an increase in population will obviously be a problem.

The biggest migrant issue is that of foreign corporations who happily dance through countries, taking their cut and moving on, leaving the rest of the population poor and divided.

Immigration and governmental policy causes a strain on service Nick but the former to a greater degree!

People living in Lincolnshire are swamped by immigrant farm workers and cannot get their children in local schools or get to see a GP for weeks because of the sheer numbers of people now living there.

Governmental policy (Blair's) has allowed this to happen by completely opening our borders and encouraging millions to set up home here driving down lower and lower wages and causing tension and unrest.

We could all move to Japan.

Apparently at their rate of decline in population, by the year 3030 there will be one person left in Japan.

Either war or disease will redress the balance somewhere down the line.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

Nobody seems to have commented in depth on the "problems" I highlighted in my opening post.

Housing - where will all these people go?

We need to complete more projects like DIY SOS did last week. Re-build/upgrade Victorian terraced streets and convert disused pubs etc for flats/apartments. We'll need to build upwards (sadly) but ensure they never become ghettos where old people are afraid to venture out.

Building on green belt land must only be an option when everywhere else has been built upon. Farmland will be precious and consideration given to reconverting golf courses/race courses back to agricultural use. People that have gardens to be given grants to provide food for the nation on a commercial basis.

More use of individual solar panels and smaller wind generation devices. 74 Million people will require a lot of energy every day.

Water will be precious and thought given to reducing waste. Storage of rainwater efficiently (or treated sewage) to provide the means to flush toilets rather than wasting fresh drinking water on this task.

There's a lot to think about for the whole world, but if the present trend continues, the UK will become one of the most densely populated countries in the world.

Forget about the economic effects of immigration, good or bad.... the actual practical effect of mass immigration will bring the UK to a juddering halt as it's basic infrastructure struggles to cope.

Oi Hoof, hands off our race courses.

You should know better with your name.

Only the sh1t ones mezzer...... I love racing but Hereford was always pants before it closed... Fontwell is pretty rubbish too.

No way would I consider the likes of Cheltenham, Aintree or Ascot for closure but it depends on our priorities in the future.

There's your answer.

Make sushi our national dish and they'll all go somewhere else.

Accept they wouldn't have us.

Unlike the UK and Europe they actually value their social cohesion.

Opinion polls taken in Japan show very clearly that they don't want the so called 'benefits' of large scale immigration.

They are looking at other solutions to the aging crisis.

The pyramid scheme of constantly increasing your population is an illogical mess......That's even without the fact that it hurts your own working class for housing and jobs.

Facepalm.

You actually believe that.

Don't tell me, it's the Tories fault right ?

So we should just keep increasing the population, keep building things and increasing services forever ?

Brilliant.

Not my point. The migrant issue is being used to mask the underinvestment in our services.
