I don't think anyone is saying that rape is not an issue across all nations and races but it seems that some bend over backward to ignore facts. It seems that the 3% of Muslim men represent 12% of the rapist prison population. Let's just tackle this fact head on with no prejudice and understand why. I think we all secretly suspect it is something to do with religious/cultural attitudes to women and a low regard for "easy" young white girls outside of the pakistani Muslim community where certain codes have to be observed. This desire to fudge the issue, sometimes for the right reasons, is only going to insure that nothing will change.

Of course it doesn't, the problem lies in all cultures and within 'male status and power within society and culture' - and pakistani and Muslim cultures are very male orientated power cultures, but we're not exactly far behind them.
