Obviously the week for defensive f*** ups............

Thanksgiving, the Turkey strikes back..........

Chris, I think the Russian jets have been based in Syria.

There will be a lot of sabre rattling but the irony is both Russia & Turkey haven't really been that anti ISIS. They both have their own agendas, Turkey bombing more Kurds than ISIS and Russia propping up Bashar al-Assad

Ok I thought they were coming from the Black Sea.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you'll find they are based at Bassel Al-Assad Airport at Latakia in Syria, where the Russians have beefed up their present's in the last 6 months, they are not being allowed to fly over Turkey who have repeatedly warned them about incursions into Turkeys airspace, now perhaps they take notice.

I'm sure you're right - less reason to fly over Turkey, let's hope Russia doesn't escalate otherwise NATO will have to get involved - where's Trident!!?

The plane came down in Syria, but both sides will claim their versions are the truth.

Turkey had better hope it was actually right though as Russia will probably retaliate in some way.

Sitting at the bottom of the ocean, running silent, with its pre-programmed missiles, awaiting a confirmed destruction of the UK, or orders to launch from the Prime minister or nuclear deputies.

Do we actually know that Russian nuclear missiles can penetrate our so called shield ?
Does any one really know what anti missile systems we have ?

Both crew were shot dead, by Turkmen, while parachuting according to the BBC.

Putin will not let that go unpunished I wouldn't have thought.

Both Muslim.... so no real surprise?

If you add up the standing armies of the Middle Eastern countries (Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan etc. etc.) they have about 5 million troops, mostly equipped with state-of-the-art weaponry.

Yet it's a coalition of Western nations who is taking the fight to ISIS.

It's long overdue that the nations of the Middle East took responsibility for the s*** going on in the Middle East. I didn't see any Arabian forces in Northern Ireland in the 70s and 80s...
