Can't abide their music, but very very nice lads on the occasions I worked for them.

Turn the radio station over at the speed of sound.

"Keane is music for betters", Noel Gallagher.

Coldplay is music for Matt Baker.

i remember it like yesterday. i was working overnight at a hospital. you did your work until 3-4:00am and then usually some time to kill. listening to a random radio station and i here in my place. look it up and here clocks. hooked. a brllliant band. seen them many times. great show. the bands will change over time. they're in a less commercial stage now. ok. but still brilliant.

I can't stand them, once heard someone ask "how can a band have 4 albums, and only one song?" kinda sums it up for me.

I'm in my mid 40's now and I remember being about 30 when they were starting to become popular and being thoroughly bemused. To me, they were a bland middle of the road band.

Certainly didn't fit with the cliched view that you look at the music of the next generation and are in any way offended by it. If anything it seemed more like music my Dad would be interested in!

Not really for me because they lack an edge. But that said, there are worse things the general public could be listening to so an improvement on some of the dross that's usually in the charts.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

Tedious, bland and inexplicably successful. The musical equivalent of Miranda Hart.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Dire. Would be much happier listening to an LTJ Bukem set.

Which is what I will be doing in Hastings on 6th Feb.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

Agreed.

But for some equally inexplicable reason I really like their 'Speed of Sound' single and have done for 10 years now.

Musical plagiarism at its worst that band involve themselves in.

Not my cup of tea, but if other people like them, I can't really complain. They sound entirely different now as to how they sounded a mere decade ago.

I think I'll stick with more heavier stuff that's not found in the charts and not this radio-friendly soft rock.

"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!"
