Gozo in June for two weeks and then the good old Isle of Wight in August for a week. The kids are three years and four weeks old so keeping it simple!

Dunno, the missus has sorted that out. I do know that to save our family of 5 about £300 quid on flights we're stopping off in Madrid for a night on the way there and on the way back - also saving cash by going a day before half term and returning a day after- now that I have he freedom to do so.

Botswana at Easter.

Probably try to get away again with the kids between July and September (when I'm on gardening leave pending my redundancy - be rude not to try to spend the payout before I get it) - Isle of Wight or somewhere

Went to Santorini in July. Chose Perussia because of the beach.
The holiday was spoilt by the wind. The clue was in the name of the hotel, Meltemi. The bloody wind raged for 12 of the 14 days. The shutters on the rooms rattled, on one occasion we watched the sun beds going for a walk. On 3 separate occasions the wind hit 55k!!!!
Most days you couldn't go to the beach for fear of being sand blasted. On the one day we did go, we were surprised to see rocks a few feet from the waters edge, because of the rough sea we retired to the hotel.
Perussia is a bit of a dump. Look on Google Earth (wish I had)
Lots of car hire, but most seem to hire the 3-wheeled bikes.
Oia is very pleasant, but can be too cramped when cruise ships are in!
Watch out for the airport, it's a Greek Airforce base, so the facilities are non-exsistant When we got there the queues went on for miles on both sides of the entrance. These queues converge into the same area inside. Security was a joke, the guy at the scanner for hand luggage got up and walked away. Get in the queue for passport control, don't want to be called. The queue is confined to a small area. On the day we came back it snaked up and down for 5 rows.
Won't be going back.
