If one or the other sign then they get my backing, if either manage more than a solitary goal then we have improved on the dross we have up front.

Bendtner has an excellent leap on him, has good feet for a big bloke and has got good movement and a good touch. Not the quickest, doesn't have that explosive pace and isn't the best finisher. But he does have a remarkable self-belief in himself.

Hopefully this is to dampen expectations so we're all dancing when we sign Batshuayi.

I would love to see Bendtner in a palace shirt. He has just been at the wrong clubs. He cant handle being down the pecking order. Thats why it hasnt worked out for him at Arsenal and Wolfsburg. He is very much a confidence player, that needs regular selection to thrive. Humour aside, I actually think this is very close to the money. In the right environment -- which Palace could possibly provide -- he has the ability to be a very good signing indeed.
Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God. |

I can't make head nor tail of it why, but I must confess that I'd quite like to see him at Palace. My spider senses just tell me he'd bring a bit of confidence to the side.

Steve Bruce has signed him twice, for Birmingham and for Sunderland.

Please..........No ! In nine years at Arsenal he scored very few goals over a span of over 100 appearances. He must have been the worst Arsenal striker of recent times! In 2014, he scored 1 league goal in about 18 starts. Please..........No!

Anyone got Paul Warhurst's number? Now there was a versatile player. He could play in defence, as striker and in the midfield. He was quick, had two good feet, he was strong and was a good passer of the ball but at times could be a bit casual. He left us to sign for Bolton when Colin Todd was manager.Think he had quite a few clubs after that but don't ask me to name them !
