Agree... If you look through history most serial killers and rapists started out by torturing animals first. I think some people view this as not being overly important. I would say it's extremely important catching this person before this escalates toward something more sinister..

"most"? Really?

Sort of. Usually people with anti-social personality disorder, usually seen in serial killers, tends to go one way or the other. Its been noted that whilst sociopaths lack empathy for others, in some cases this doesn't apply with small children (typically babies) and animals.

That said, even with serial killers who have taken excessive care of pets, you still often see the torture of animals in the youth (usually around the early teens). Certainly in sexual sadism its almost a precursor, but that makes sense, as they're essentially experimenting with their feelings through a 'reasonably' safe proxy. Whilst many don't understand right and wrong in the same way most people do, through empathy, they generally look for safe proxies to explore their desires on (and animals represent a safe proxy).

Say you are joking.

I very much doubt he is. I'm amazed that no one has worked out who he is, or should I say was.

I'd like to think it's because they may have found the collar somewhere and are simply returning it; otherwise this sort of depraved gloating is actually just as sick as the killing.

I liked The Office, but I'm pretty indifferent to the man; however, Ricky Gervais is spot on when he says that if you enjoy seeing an animal in pain, you're a cvnt. Not sure what it says about me - maybe that I hate people - but I'm more affected these days by animal cruelty than human cruelty.

Totally agree, but someone must have removed the collar from the cat?
