I started matched betting last Monday. I signed up to the free part of profit accumulator and did the coral and bet Fred offers. I used to work for Stanley's which was brought out by hills so I understand the basic principles behind backing and laying and so on. I have put £275 into it and made a profit of 150 so far. Been away on.holiday this week so not done much. Not touched the reloads of casino stuff . Need to build the pot up in order to start with the bet365 offers and some of the higher free bets as the liability in bet fair can be quite large. Most of the info is online so thus far I have not paid for any memberships

good profit to be made doing matched betting, highly recommend it.

My favourite offer for existing customers is the £50 bet365 risk free in play offer, hoping they'll do it on the final but no news yet!

Been gubbed by Coral a few weeks after Cheltenham, seemed like they were going on a gubbing spree around then!!

For anyone reading this new to matched betting, gubbing is when a bookmaker stopped allowing you to take up their free bet offers.

Also been gubbed by Betbright, hit them pretty hard also during Cheltenham. No big loss though as they don't seem to run offers.

Still have Bet365, Paddys and Skybet which are my main accounts for regular offers I think.

In terms of arbs, I don't take up any arbs as from what I read they are a fast way to get to gubbed and there is never much value in them unless you're willing to bet big amounts I think, which probs flags you up even faster as an arber.

In terms of mug bets, yep I simply place around 2 bets (or 1 bet and an £1 acca) at the same time as taking up and offer. I also only ever bet on the popular markets and popular games, so for example with a free bet I see some people betting on outside horses at 16/1 whereas I'll stick to the underdog in a premiership match at 4/1. May cost me a little in profit but worth it to keep my accounts open.

I also don't hammer all the offers and I only do the horse racing offers at Cheltenham (exception being the Skybet £25 2nd and 3rd refunds as they are pretty easy).

I see you mentioned you have just started and you are using free sites information, I think someone posted above by the best sites I've used are:

free:

teamprofit for welcome offers - [Link]

matchedbetting101 facebook group I use to check every so often -https://www.facebook.com/groups/984422048283444/

matchedbettingblog for existing offers - [Link]

I think oddsmonkey and profit accumulator are worth if it you have lots of time but matchedbettingblog is good for some of the usual offers.

matched betting should at least pay for my palace membership and tickets this season

I joined profit accumulator last week so I could start getting through some of the advance offers a bit more quickly. Been delayed with money going back to the bank and out to bookies again . A lot of the start up offers are void if you use skrill or money wallets to deposit. I am yet to do 365 as my bank isn't quit there yet to do the rollover it may require. I read on one of the pa forums that bet365 and bet Fred are two accounts to look after. Small football accumulators of 5 or 6 teams for a couple of quid look muggy enough also trying where possible to back and lay stuff which is slaughter higher odds so it hopefully wins in the exchange which means bookies think your an idiot who puts bets on and loses all the time.

Sounds good and wise to save up for the bet365 offer it's such sick value

Fwiw, my advice on the bookmakers with the best offers for existing customers:

best - bet365

their £50 risk free in play is worth £30 to £35 and they run it once a month or so, very easy money.

next best - skybet

lots of good £25 refund offers on horse racing, good sky vegas offers.

next best - paddy power, coral and 188bet.

Paddy have good price boosts and their euro 2016 was the best (bet 20 get 5 free bet every time your team scores)

Coral run a lot of bet £20 get £10 free bet.

188bet run some good £25 refund offers on football.

after that - ladbrokes, betfred, william hill, stan james, bet victor, 888

ladbrokes run some £25 refund offers on football but often quite low value

betfred's only decent offer is usually bet 75 get 25 but they are quick to gub customers

william hill used to be good but offers dried up, still have the occasional profitable offer, moreso on casino.

stan james, betvictor and 888, usually some simple £5 free bets to pick up but always low value.

hope that helps, will be interesting to read how you get on.

Got the best part of 500 stuck with the shower who call themselves bet at home. Having to do a rollover with them and their odds are appalling and no horse racing either. May be tempted to take a loss on it just to get my hands on my money to be honest. How much have you made so far and how much did you put in to to it ?

Bet365 get fed up quite quickly if you take the piss on the big match free bet offer.

Check the small print too. Often you have to win pay outs of 3 or four times what the "free" bet was worth before you can take the cash. Ie, they give you "free" money which you then have to give back to them anyway.

I have always seen my £50 in-play matched bet winnings become 'withdrawable' instantly. I've won with the +0.5 pre-match and draw in-play a bit and won with other bets like half-time/full-time and 3/1 odds. I'm always invited to play them by email. Maybe I don't take my winnings out all the time or instantly.

I don't know but I've never had any problems. You do have to rollover your deposit a few times after you sign up to withdraw any winnings from the treble bonus after sign up.

The rollover issue put me off signing up with smaller online bookies for traditional betting. The odds were shorter and you had to bet again a few times after. It wasn't worth it the further you go right in the oddschecker bet basket.

Ah I haven't tried the bet-at-home offer, any of the offers that have large wagering (except for bet365 as it's only 3x) I haven't done as always a bit wary they may gub me whilst completing it.

If you still have time left on the offer maybe best to wait till the premiership starts as you should get better odds on bet at home hopefully.

I haven't kept any records but I made over £500 from all the sign up / welcome offers, then I aim to make at least £200 a month from all the easier offers I mentioned above such as:

- bet365 £50 risk free
- skybet £25 horse racing money back
- paddy power regular offers
- risk free casino offers

Good months can be £500 e.g. during Cheltenham or when there are some generous offers, but so long as I make £200 or so then I'm happy

Also just enjoy the feeling of getting one over on the bookies

I managed to withdraw it all in the end with bet at home. Did the titanbet offer in an afternoon on horseracing. Everything else now is in play , accumulator or lots of roll overs which has thrown me off course a bit. The 're loads are rubbish at the moment as there's no premiership. Hopefully pick up soon. Are the channel four horse racing refunds good
