But we've already got four and a half wingers with Bolasie, Zaha, Sako and Lee providing the four and Puncheon the half and the last thing we need is two more even though I'm a great fan of Nathan Redmond

Also I see Bolasie playing more in behind Adebayor when he's back so Redmond and Zaha would be the wingers. Phillips I'm not massively convinced by, scored a stormer against us but is he an improvement? Diame I have to say I haven't seen enough to really judge.
The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years |

I don't often come on here to post but I thought I would share with you a conversation I have had with my friend who works for the club as a local youth scout. I tried to dig some information about these 'two or three' players and managed to find out that Mo Diame of Hull, Matt Phillips of QPR and a possible trade between Dwight Gayle and Nathan Redmond of Norwich are the players being referred to. It would appear the focus in this window is to sort out the lack of goals by bolstering the attacking options which makes complete sense in my opinion! If true then that would be sensational progress for the club on both short and long term basis.

Not knocking any of these players but they've all been relegated in last couple of years

I'd expect us to still be playing 4-2-3-1 with the amount of midfielders we have unless we get rid of some. Maybe another striker but a winger sounds likely or someone that can play behind the striker. Sako seems to be injured every now and then and we need competition for Puncheon. Diame would be a good deal and someone to compete with Zaha as C.Y.Lee isn't quite up to standard personally.
