Gil Evans, worked with Miles Davis, a genius arranger, love this... [Link] I know fretless bass became ubiquitous in the 80s and was diluted to almost elevator muzac, but this is the man who brought the sound to prominence in the 70s, the late great Jaco! [Link] As the 60's came to a close Miles moved into different territory. Guitar and electric piano moved to the forefront, fusion was born, for better or worse! I know fretless bass became ubiquitous in the 80s and was diluted to almost elevator muzac, but this is the man who brought the sound to prominence in the 70s, the late great Jaco!
