I couldn't believe it. And now Gatland is getting it in the neck for trying to play it down, as Samson Lee wanted, as he used the word "banter".

Jones isn't daft though, put Mako back in to start against France and let Marler sneak on later without fuss hopefully.

Just got back from the game, a grand slam in Paris is as good as it gets, will be winding up frogs for weeks.

Job done by England.

As expected France raised their game against England like all the other nations do.

England have found a new Talisman... the number 4 Maro Itoje.

He is fantastic all over the pitch, young and fearless and his size and presence is formidable.

Our lineouts have let us down for years, but with this fella I'm actually looking forward to them even when it's not our ball!

He's going to be the reason England will dominate northern hemisphere Rugby for some time. He might just give us a chance against NZ, AUS and SA.

Swing Low...........

Well done England. Essentially the same players but with a new man at the helm it has turned around the team's fortune. Hmmmmmm.....

Hartley's lineouts have been impeccable for years. The only time they've let us down is after we've changed the hooker, nothing to do with the receiver.

He is an amazing player nonetheless!

Well done England, some people trying to play down their achievement by saying it was a poor championship.

I wouldn't entirely disagree but England could only beat what's in front of them. Plenty of food for thought for all the nations.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

I liked the comment from someone on the coverage who said "if it was that poor, why didn't you win it?"

and we did it with 3 away games.

I agree with you about Hartley, as does Stuart Barnes... Hartley is very good, but you cannot rule out the importance of the receiver too!

Although he was/is our most capped Hooker, Steve Thompson's lineouts often disappointed me and was what I meant in my post above.

Our lineout unit now is looking pretty good. We hardly made a mistake at all during this 6 nations campaign.

They're important but I was pointing out that the problem wasn't with the previous receivers either, Lawes, Parling etc.

Nothing irritates me more than us losing our lineout. It's right up there with not getting a corner past the defender at the near post in football.

Amen to that!
