I take a different view with regards the EU. It is inherently corrupt and the EU is neither one thing nor the other. It is not a superstate and not a common market. The result is that we are exposed to vanity and the excesses of an elite who will pour taxpayers money into their pet projects, such as the Euro, which was created off of the back of, at best, dubious financial data. We have voted to free ourselves from this. This is surely better for the country and the next generation.

However, I still believe we never leave the EU. Prepare yourself for a new deal and another vote in the next 12 months. Britain will vote for that.

Not bothered about the EU, the politics are largely a side show. It's inward investment and ability to trade that's the big issue. Dublin already going like a train, becoming hard to hire people there. Now watch Edinburgh as soon as the Scots enter the EU.

I work for Yanks, we are already moving operations to Ireland. That will accelerate very quickly. The damage will be irrecoverable in next to no time.

Kerms, I think you may need to move back home.

I'm sure we were only a member of the EEC/EU since the 1970s. Were we in the dark ages until then?

During the 3 day week when we had the power cuts it got very dark

Get over yourself. It's called democracy.

It isn't called democracy for my 17 year old.

Or for the Scots.

My daughter tells me that the proportion of over 65s that voted out was very high. As they are the generation with Defined Benefit pensions, lots of them had little to lose.

Whereas the proportion of younger people voting out was low. Yet again young people pick up the pieces from the selfishness of the old. If we were going to gamble with their future, the least we could have done is allowed 16 year olds, who tend to be pretty well informed, to vote.

Ha. He wouldn't be on there two minutes before the lefty bully brigade were on his case.

Don't play the victim Nick, you give as good as you get.
If you dish it out then don't cry foul when you get it back. Stay on the BBS if you want to preach to the converted.

Like I said, it doesn't bother me, however it does bother a lot of other posters.

Get a grip , your daughter will thank us all who voted to leave later in life , some times the elders know the best .

I went to Morrisons today to do my shopping and the cashier asked this foreign couple in front of me if they wanted help packing their bags. I thought f***, this is happening quicker than I expected!

So what's the solution - disenfranchise anyone who disagrees with you?

Read more of his tweets. He's not an ignorant moron. I've read quite a lot of his typesof posts and tweets today in the space of 20mins and it's obvious most of them are winding up their fellow youngsters who cannot take the result from democracy.

He might actually have responded to Osborne's fear tactic that house prices would fall 18%. He tapped into the electorate there.
