The EU is of course grateful for your informed prediction of its demise.

But puzzled why you can never bring yourself to discuss your own countries future.

Unless to say dont worry it will be ok, no plans are necessary.

You just go over the too, I will be leading you from the nearest chateau...........

Johnson and Davis have suddenly seen the light, my thought was serious food shortages, we have 66 millions here.

Thinking though..........

There will be no 'demise' of any of the northern European countries.....or indeed the anglosphere.

Ultimately the richer countries will insulate and protect themselves. Economies will follow the usual boom and bust cycle.

That's the end of my mystic Stirling predictions.

Hell yeah.

The country is far far more important than the Tory party.

Given the fact that it looks increasingly likely that the Tories will keep May on come what may (no pun intended), do you think this is a clear indication that the Tories always put themselves first and never the country? Can they really recover and win the next GE if they keep her on and deliver a soft Brexit? I have no idea, but I hope not.

Erm, the discussion on whether joining the EU was a good thing was debated in a 'rational' manner for months before and after the referendum in lots of detail. Not sure of the point in going over old ground. For reasons I have stated before, leaving is FAR better than staying.

There is no reason why competent politicians could not act out the wishes of the people. We are where we are now, not because Brexit is a bad idea – it's still FAR better than remaining – but because the Maybot has deliberately thwarted it. Never trust government!

a) most of the cabinet are incompetent.

b) still not seen any realistic proposal from any Brexiter over the Irish border, other than sea border between the island of Ireland and GB, which we're led to believe isn't happening in a month of Sundays.

I think on this specific issue you have a point. However if May is putting party before country she should actually advocate a hard Brexit. The vast majority of Tory party members and voters want to leave the EU full stop. May is pandering to the majority Tory MP's who are remainers. They are the ones out of step with their own members.

Corbyn is now in a great position because many of us will not vote Tory if this goes ahead, the next election is his to lose. Mind you his party is equally split over Europe so he has his own challenges.

It is an opportunity for Mrs May if she wants to reform the tories and renew with energetic people and new policies connecting with normal people.

But that cannot be, the tory obsession with europe goes on and on, after brexit it will be even worse.

She should never have staked her premiershio on brexit, europe is the tory graveyard.

And ours, thank you tories.

Maybe May is putting her own job first? Tory members will only get a say at MPs say so though and that seems unlikely at present.

And?
Your thoughts on the ECB's QE policy would be more helpful tbh.

Any QE or stimulus package is nothing more than a papering over the cracks exercise.

I think 'free movement' has just bitten the dust.

It really looks like the UK will be a 'vassal state' to Trump and not the EU though.

He offered the UK to Putin as a part-exchange but the reply was 'niet'.

Or, you must be f*****g joking........

Thucydides’s warning that in international affairs, “the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must”

That's us, brexit means born to lose.

Our sporting prowess achievements also disappearing in line with our national decline.

Becoming a bit player in the World.
