We are told youngsters can't get on the housing ladder and deposits are huge to buy.
The question is why are youngsters so pro brexit when it's been the catalyst to huge migration pushing up property prices.

If a higher % goes to rent/deposit and mortgage because of huge migration needing houses what has the point to the British public? Business benefits but not the normal person.

Housing % has ridden hugely more than wages, I just don't see what the point has been?
I would be happy earning less if my mortgage was a third less.

Any youngsters here who voted remain who can't get a house?

I don't think youngsters are as nationalistic as older generations. Although I was born in 69, the Second World War still loomed large in the background featuring in comics and on the TV etc. My generation were far more queen and country than today's (rightly or wrongly)

You are correct regarding housing however I don't think many youngsters correlate the link between open door migration and high housing.

Plans for a march demanding a People's Vote (although I could have sworn we'd already had one) in London, with various 'celebrities' sponsoring coaches to bus in the masses.

And who do we see on this list of worthy citizens but one Pardew, A, described as a 'former footballer, manager'. Well, goodness me.

I can't decide if this is a conspiracy by Remainers of all parties and those that really run things, to subvert democracy. I always suspected that they would try and get their way no matter what the vote.

To 'subvert democracy' you have to be in one to start with!

No more referendums please, and especially democracy.

Britains problems are the result of voters.

The question here simply should never have been asked in the first place, the government, no matter how few voted for it (less than 30%) is there constitutionally to govern, not to ask the population what they think they should do.

To simply blame immigration for the cost of housing is far too simplistic and arrives at the wrong conclusions.

For real insight into the issue you should start at the fundamentals of house building. For house builders, in simple terms, if you have more demand for housing the prices will go up so they will build more homes and this in turn increases supply bring the price back into equilibrium. The housing market though is inefficient, and the planning system creates huge difficulties and additional (inefficient) costs.

There is also the issue that the majority of voters in older generations have been influencing policy and planning through NIMBYism and a desire to increase the value of their homes. These two factors flow through to governments who are incentivised to restrict the supply of housing.

This also ignores the fact that businesses and public services hire the amount of people they need, not the amount of people who will fit into existing housing stock. Pretending that getting rid of immigration to solve the housing crisis will not have negative effects on other parts of the economy is stupid.

The real policy solution should be to overhaul the planning system and to fund more housing, plus invest in infrastructure and jobs, especially in the regions and incentivise businesses and people to relocate from London. The last 10 years have seen inaction from government on this, merely trialing policies that simply push prices up and make matters worse.

I think your missing my point.
Why do we want to increase the population?

Why do we want busier roads, more pollution
Straigned services when we could keep the population low. Lower population lowers housing giving people more in their pockets.

And yes if we increase the population we will need nurses so stop increasing the population.

I bet all these liberals who love open borders are the first to moan about building on the green belt or pollution from more cars in cities.

And don't forget automatization is around the corner!!

So all in all these youngsters voting to remain have not got a clue.

You want to get into a debate about what democracy is?

I know you would prefer a totalitarian communist government, but we voted for Leave just the same as we vote to decide a government and no one complains except the losers. It ain't a perfect system but we regularly ask stupid people who should be Prime Minister and I'm sure you would be happy if stupid people voted in Jeremy next time.
The losers think it's all so unfair. What a shocker. We live in a society where people have not learned how to lose with dignity.

You shouldn't object to a further vote as you favour democracy, and what they will be voting on will have no relation to what leavers thought they were voting for in 2016.

So let them choose on the basis of what is actually going to happen.

You would say that since you lost the first time.
I suppose you would want a further vote if you lost again.
You suggest that people were not qualified to vote the first time but those very same people would be voting a second time. Do you honestly believe that they would not be told more lies this time around? Of course you don't.

And how about a vote after that.....and a vote after that....and a vote after that......Na....we were told this would be the vote and now you have to suck it up.

Like I've said....leavers had to wait forty years for another vote on the EU...even though it was the common market then....yet another lie sold to us.

Enjoy your wait......though personally because I'm more ethical than your side I'd allow another vote within a generation....unlike you lot.

Why do you want another referendum when you're ignoring the result of the last one?
