We’d never have this mess if we were a caliphate already.

That was actually quite good.

Then we might be trying to get out of the UAE. Arabrexit.

I've just given a snort of derision at hearing McDonnell say that Labour will wait for what the PM brings back from the EU and then they will decide in the nation's interest.

Total and utter hogwash.Labour are hell-bent on opposing ANY deal in the interests of their party and their desire is for creating total and utter chaos in order to trigger a General Election. They don't want 'Norway +' or 'Canada + +' all they want is 'Momentum +'.They are not focussed on the deal they are just focussed on how they could get back into power - God forbid.

Isn't the UAE located in Highbury?

For me this is the reason I choose leave.
If we arnt going to spend the money on our hospitals then I want less people. Easy as that.

The EU has refused to offer Mrs May a legal process for the UK to terminate the interim deal.

She has no wriggle room and it is painful to watch. I do not believe Parliament will pass this without that legal clause.

I would not be surprised if over the weekend the "grey" men tell her to fall on her sword. I think her options are limited and in no particular order are:

1. Tell the EU the whole thing is off and we go to WTO rules so no money for them. This has always been my preferred option but I don't think its in her heart to do this. She has stopped saying no deal is better than a bad deal.

2. Soldier on wasting parliamentary time hoping for a Christmas miracle and a change of mind amongst MPs. Quite likely this is what will happen.

3. Resign and dump the problem in someone else's lap. She is not a quitter but unless she is prepared to walk away from the deal I think she will be told to go by the whips.

4. Call a general election and ask the people to back her deal. I don't think this will work because it puts Tory voters in a bind, vote for a deal you don't want or let Corbyn in. If she goes for this option I suspect Tory voters will never forgive her.

5. Call a referendum but what will the question be? Options 4 and 5 will almost certainly mean that the Brexit date is moved back. Again I think many voters will not forgive her for this.

6. Bit left field this one. She approaches Corbyn and somehow agrees some sort of deal that the Labour party can live with or at least abstain. Unlikely as I don't see what's in it for Labour and again Mrs May will be despised by Tory voters and MPs for going against her own party.

She falls on her sword and then what happens?

A new leader will be chosen who won't get any better deal from the EU than Mrs May has done so we're back to "no deal"
