Haven't heard a lot from the OP, Kermit8.

What happened to him ?
Did he emigrate ?
What's his opinion now ?

So many questions that need answering...

He’s well out of it in the south west, watching the country import more issues for now and in the future.

Refugee crisis is everyone's problem, not just the French, it's only cos they happen to be there. It's because of your such attitudes of just ignoring the problem and leaving it to others to sort out is the reason we have this situation

I'm sure if loads of foreigners wanted to leave UK and tried desperately to get to France you would happily let them, so it works both ways

You have answered your own question PUSSAY. A refugee crisis at the Calais Dover border. THAT HAPPENS TO HAVE A PORT LOL

What does this even mean? The French have been irresponsible and don’t even know or care who is there and what they’re doing, and I’m talking about those in ‘ghettos’ just outside of Paris as well as Calais. As long as their children get a la carte school lunches and get subsidised handsomely after redundancy or retirement they don’t give a fook. They don’t give a fook about anyone else’s farming industries or anything really. They’re really quite selfish or self interested, which is a good thing in a way, considering they buy French first, no matter how shyte a Renault car is or how guaranteed a Peugeot car computer is to break down. The downside is they don’t value cuisine apart from their own, so your view that they’re so outward looking isn’t quite how you think it is.

I agree there are international treaties which the French should observe and if they are not working then call on the UN to change them. Not doing your job protecting your border is not the answer.

Alot of trade tariffs are there to protect our own industries, how will he ensure UK jobs are secured?

Because they are not doing this for our key industries (like meat for example). I'm not an economist but assume the idea is to put more money into people's pockets and stimulate more growth.

It's an example of how we can set our own tariffs and start to make our own trade deals and at least try and get away from an economy of managed decline.

I think he's suggesting that as there are no riots at Heathrow immigration control we don't have a problem with immigration. It's an idiotic argument.

Yours is the idiotic argument here, together with the usual old twits.

The UK already controls its own borders, immigration is now predominantly non-EU.

Brexit will deliver more immigration from non-EU countries, not less.

Don't let's insult brexiteers with reality though.

Love the way you frequently tell people that they don’t know what they’re talking about, then you post this.

The point being made is the terminology and rhetoric used to justify Brexit one being taking control of our borders. You have to ask is this a real problem and our borders are out of control or is it more a case of politicians playing up to misconceptions stoked up by the media or general populism?

Post Brexit this will be more of an issue as the border will no longer be between two EU countries.

I wonder if the production manager at Nissan will be on the march?

[Link]

If not perhaps he already moved to Germany?

Here is a brexit classic I just caught up with:-

'Taking back control is a careful change, not a sudden stop - we will negotiate the terms of a new deal before we start any legal process to leave'.
