That was a referendum on the common market which is clearly not the EU. It's just a crap argument.

What has amazed me more than anything is watching the unchecked power of the Speaker in the house of commons to completely steer the entire processes based on his choice of amendments and what he will and won't allow. That's clearly subversion of the position and a fundamental fault in our political system that needs to be addressed.

That and all the main stream media debates that are completely antithetical to the discussions real people are having in this country. They are discussion and reporting on this like it's some kind of game.

I really don't think that Parliament, the ruling class and many remainers understand what's at stake and what is likely to happen if Brexit is not delivered or continues to be frustrated.

If brexit is not delivered we will all be saved from many more years of this utter s***e.

Quite so, and clearly the result of the 1975 referendum, when 67% of the vote was to remain, is not being respected.

So get over it losers etc.etc.

We tested that choice for 40 years and then decided it was a mistake,
By that logic, we should have another referendum in around 2060

If it was still a free trade area, then we wouldn't be pulling out, it's the federal state we did not vote for, so quite different.

Yes, 40 years ago it was a different world. We have to work from where we are now. I understand the view that with such a close vote the country is split and so we need to consider everyones view, but we see where that's got us in parliament.

I think the problem with the current situation is that if somehow we don't end up leaving in some form, when will the next Brexit referendum come? Try never. It will all be talk of how the last one was a disaster for the country and so on. It'll be a lock in. For those concerned about us leaving, again, in a worse case scenario if things don't work out, then with such a split country the majority would want to rejoin anyway wouldn't they, so what's the long term concern?

I'll adapt whatever happens, and if the EU had allowed us control over our borders remain would've won anyway, but to me throughout this never-ending Brexit I've come to see it more as an opportunity to take stock of things and evaluate them as we go along, rather than get dragged along a path of wider union's choosing.

Right.

OK, if you want to ignore irrefutable fact. I suppose that's always been the brexiter theme
