But of course you care If you were asked to pay for something or not pay for something you would choose the latter, you wouldn't say you didn't care. If your energy or tax bill shot up would you be unhappy or not care? BTW UK charges Alot more for visas so you're lucky

If I have to pay a bit more short term I know why and what I'm getting I return. Which is independence and no more freedom of movement which has already helped wage growth.

I just love the way people say we shall be running our own country. Wait and see. Other people's rules will not only carry on affecting us, we shall have less say in the setting of those rules. This is the big fallacy of the whole discussion. I guarantee you our international companies will either bend the knee or get hit by fine after fine. We are no longer in a position to consider ourselves independent. You may want to consider the discussion of a similar nature between Preobrazhensky and Stalin. The rest of the world will come and get you.

Your post amounts to surrender to cartel like behaviour. You forget the precarious position of the EU itself. If they wish to continue with aggressive and obstructive positions against the UK all they will do is increase their already deserved unpopularity and create an aggressive competitor rather than a trading partner. It isn't the EU, we are going to be biting the pillow mostly for the Americans. We will lose our back-up
