Pardon me if I'm wrong, but didn't he say the economy would crash the day after the referendum if leave won? An even bigger whopper that, as it actually improved!

Link?

The economy will crash if we leave the EU - Mark Carney

That could still happen, and the economy has suffered since the vote, it weakened the pound and businesses have suffered, whereas statements such as 350m for the NHS are completely false. There's a difference

The economy will probably crash anyway as confidence in the country hits rock bottom.

Only revoking, which is the only power the UK still has, offers an end to brexit.

The governments 'divorce' with the EU means years of pain with no gain.

Not true, we get to watch your posts suddenly dry up or suffer from memory loss after we leave as your predictions turn out to be utter bunk.

Extra money has been allocated to the NHS in a five year funding deal. Oh and as we haven't left the EU yet and if we do under Mrs May deal we still have to pay them for 2 years so only after that would the £350m funds be available to spend if it exists. Please bear in mind that statement was made not by the government but by a pressure group and many in the Brexit camp objected to it.

You maybe right about the economy none of us have a crystal ball but my post was to denounce Osbourne for how he proposed to deal with that potential fallout. Scaring the vulnerable well if that isn't Project fear I don;t know what is.

I don't what's worse Project Fear or Project Pussay as both spout rubbish.

It's true that the pound did fall against both the Euro and Dollar which had the effect of making our exports more competitive so how does that make businesses suffer?

No no no. If we leave the EU we won't suddenly have that contribution free to spend as we like. It will have to pay for the things we lose like not having free tarriffs, subsidies and all the extra legal and admin costs, we would have to support businesses that have suffered

More to the point to simply say 350m to the NHS is completely false and deliberately misleading and cannot be compared to other predictions negative or otherwise.

Also it alludes to the idea that we cannot fund our public services because we are in the EU which is also complete crap

I was referring to companies which have moved, lost revenue and announced job losses relating to Brexit. All of which have been debated on this thread

Employment is at an all time high.
House prices are slowing down.
Salaries are going up.

My friends who had been on zero hour contracts are now finding permanent roles with regular hours and job security.

Exports are now more competitive.

There's an obsession in Britain with the Economy, but people ignore how it affects day to day lives of people.

How much does immigration contribute to that? especially freedom of movement?

Hmm

It was fairly obvious early on that Brussels would not give us our own rules on freedom of movement and let us stay in the single market. Despite that. Europe has nothing to gain by making a trade enemy of Britain.

For me, leaving with no deal was always our best bargaining tool because we would have little leverage otherwise.

Aside from the federalism concerns, many Leavers voted on the freedom of movement issue. Therefore, control of immigration numbers from Europe has to part of leaving.

We need to get real about what people voted for rather than hiding from it.

It would be interesting to see what Europe do when no deal looked certain.
