That is ballsy when you are talking about peoples jobs and livelihoods.

"Better than the alternative". Therein is an ironic point. The alternative to a no deal brexit could be staying in the EU.

I know you truly believe a no deal crash out of the EU is better than staying in, I just happen to totally disagree with that, as do many.

Seems the PM is on my side of this argument now also, as she has basically ruled out no deal.

What about jobs created?

This is the referendum question on the paper we answered.

Nowhere on it did it say...if you vote leave.....we are leaving, but only if we can get the deal we want.

Betrayal.

Nowhere did it say 'leave the European Union in such an abrupt and unconsidered way that it does generations of harm to the economy'.

It was just a very silly question, and one that as a result was unanswerable.

What jobs would a no deal brexit create then, dannyboy?

Must have missed that news report.

Well according toa former Appeal Judge we did actually leave on 29th March, whether we like it or not.....

[Link]

Apparently, the motion to trigger Article 50 and leave on that date was passed by both houses and so became law. The motion to apply to the EU for an extension to 12th April was only agreed by the Commons and therefore cannot supersede the full legislation of the former.

I keep seeing remain voters say stuff like:
- leave voters are racist
- leave voters are stupid
- leave voters were lied to
- the leave campagne broke the rules

There's were all said before the referendum and didn't convince people to vote remain.

People are claiming if we leave without a deal it will be doomsday for the UK. This was also claimed prior to the referendum, but project fear hasn't seemed to happen.

For people on lower incomes, what has happens is competition for jobs has been reduced, and house/rental price increases have slowed down.

If you want to convince people to stay in the EU. Then the arguement needs to change.

In my view, the EU needs to assess why Britain voted leave and change.

The Labour Party needs to check why they campaigned to remain, but so many Labour voters voted to leave.

The EU's focus has been on punishing Britain. That's not what the behaviour of a progressive democracy should be. The AdF speech last week was ignored because they were called racists. That's the same tactic they used with UKIP and it resulted in the second biggest nation voting to leave. We represent 13% of the population. Trying to fudge the figures as one of 28 member states is ignoring the issue.

Labour tried to have a leadership challenge after the referendum the put the party firmly in the grip of momentum. So they are refusing to address the issues and change too. They just blame the Tories, yet everyone knew a large contingent of the Tories are hell bent on leaving. They won't change that.

People who still want to remain, should be having a go at the EU and Labour. They are the ones who can change people's minds.

Part of me hopes we'll get to stay in the EU long enough for the next European elections. Then they might be fought on the basis of reforming the failed system, which could produce a better system, or prove once and for all that the EU project in its current form doesn't work.

The House of Commons was suspended tonight due to a water leak, you'd think politicians would be use to leaking.

The bad news is that it wasn't sewage mind you with the stink in that house I doubt they would notice.

The Deputy Speaker ordered that no pictures of the leak be taken I guess he realised what the headlines would be.

Still I hope the tabloids ignore that order why should we listen to anything that Parliament says they don't listen to us.

Ooooh... spooky.

Nowhere near as murky as the EU itself, of course.

The roof is leaking.

Well fix it.

No, that costs money.

Incredibly, that is the way we are 'governed'.

Silly question? Listen, most countries in the world, including the three of the five richer than us aren't in the EU. We haven't been in the EU for most of our history and yet you present this BS that it's 'a very silly question'.

It said, 'leave the EU'. It hasn't happened.

You just aren't that interested in democracy if it goes against your interest it seems.

Jeremy Corbyn has been more anti-EU than most. How racist does that make him?
