They want a confirmatory referendum, what's wrong with that?

Confirm what? This 'confirmatory' nonsense is beyond parody. We voted on June 23rd 2016. A binary option. Remain in the EU or Leave. A majority voted for us to Leave the EU.

What part of that needs confirming? Or are Remainers so stupid that they failed to actually understand that 52% is bigger than 48%? Seriously, what do you need confirming about that?

It is assumed that change is change for the better. You want Brexit regardless of whether that change is better than remain. That's why we have an impasse

It should be that the case for leaving should be obvious and compelling, otherwise if there is doubt, a confirmatory referendum should happen. Perfectly fair and logical

How many ways can you say that you can't handle losing the referendum?

Do you in your wildest dreams believe that anyone one buys this transparent bollocks?

A further vote would be on the brexit package agreed by the government, that has little in common with June 2016, and voters could vote on what is in front of them, not the fantasies of mainly white elderly people and their imagined entitlements.

What is brexit now to people, except that the word makes them roll their eyes and walk off!

I may be deceased in a few years time in which case I will never know what actually happened, even VAR will not help.

My guess is it will revoked and everybody just got on with their lives.

Followed by some inflation to make people feel good regardless of its effect.

It truly is staggering that they can still maintain this masquerade that somehow, by making us vote again, that this really is democracy in action. And that this time, cross their hearts and hope to die with no fingers crossed by their backs, that they will honour it.

I much prefer the Remainers who just call me thick and stupid and want my vote on June 23rd ignored. That I can appreciate on one level, admire the chutzpah.

But this 'peoples vote' bollocks, or whatever they are calling it this week, that infuriates me because it is cowardly. Like they lack the courage of their convictions.

It's been said by others recently but if the vote went the other way do you think we would have been offered a second vote of any kind or any form of compromise?

The answer is clearly no

This little affair and Trump's win really has opened my eyes to the dogmatic psychosis that so many people seem to suffer from.
They will delude themselves or try to delude others to make themselves right.

Astonishing.

The situation would be different if it weren’t for the votes of the neutral speaker and a convicted felon.
Pretty funny that Remainers have to rely on a Jewish Monday Club Tory to run interference for them.

Well you can carry on being obtuse and banging the same old drum，at the end of the day you take that position because you know another vote will go against you, that's because most people now realise brexit is a terrible idea and bad for the UK. If you thought the vote would be the same as before or even more unanimous for leave then what are you worried about? It stands to reason

What 'reason'? June 23rd 2016 was a one off. We were told to consider our votes carefully because the result would be implemented.

After we leave then campaign for us to rejoin. That is perfectly legimate. No issues around that. But to simply not want the vote on June 23rd honoured because you do not like the outcome is beyond mendacious. It is disgraceful. And you should be ashamed of yourself.

Leave or Remain. That was the question. It was answered. End of story. And the answer given has to be acted upon.

It does make you wonder how many remainers truly believe in their position or just say what they think they should.

It is this divide that is worrying me now. Yes, people have always had different opinions and expressed them forcibly but you always sensed that people were playing by the same basic rules.

But now? I genuinely think that many on the Remain side would welcome a coup of some kind. That they would happily discard our democracy if it meant them retaining their 'European' status.

We voted Leave, the A50 process was enshrined in law and we were due to leave on March 29th. But we are still in the EU. Something is rotten in our system and stinks.
