I know full well what you voted for. That's not the point. What you voted for was never available and that was neither explained nor probably even thought about until a long time afterwards. You were misled, maybe by some who ought to know better, on purpose.

That it wasn't your fault doesn't mean it isn't still a fact as the actions taken in Parliament so amply demonstrate.

So you are still saying I was too stupid to understand and make up my own mind

Referendums don't count whatever the result is in our system. My opinion would be the same if "Remain" had "won".

The consequences though would have been different because there would not have been any need for a prolonged negotiation. Just Farage making noises about when to hold the next one.

Yeah and pigs might fly!! You really shouldnt make comments like that when you slag off others for what you see as 'stupid' comments.....if Remain had 'won' you would be over the moon

Looking forward to the next Scottish independence referendum, when the Scots vote to leave and then Wisbech breaks it to them that the vote wasn't actually valid.

The Scots believe in unity, hence they voted to remain, so aren't insular and probably didn't have snake oil salesmen whipping up anti English sentiment

Good article on Farage and Brexit

"Farage’s relative success is partly the product of his intuitive understanding of how to deploy the populist playbook: whip up public disenchantment with the establishment, accuse the elites of thwarting the will of the people and offer misleadingly simple solutions to complex problems."

Desiring sovereignty and to not have any external control of your nation is insular and means you have to be 'anti' something?

It really is simple. Leave on WTO terms and then do trade deals. That's what everyone who voted leave was under the assumption would happen.

Love the way you use 'populist' as a dirty word. Are you even aware of the definition of it? Look it up, and give me your critique.

Go on Nige. Taking no nonsense off Andrew Marr and his mischievous questions over HIV treatment tourists. Good answers.

The Marr interview was a total disgrace.
The BBC is a left wing propaganda machine and that is all it is.
The treatment of Farage was appalling and I hope people on all sides can see that.

I will now be voting Brexit Party for that interview alone.

Feck off Andrew Marr, the BBC and Labour.

Didn't have to, the SNP did that.
